As a Chiefs fan I just love being able to laugh at  Al Davis.  How many dumb things has this guy done the last few years? Randy Moss, Rhodes, Cullpepper? As bad as things get for KC this guy is always worse.

I will admit that Al does some dumb things, but just give Herm some time.  He'll make Al look like a genius before he's done.

Just shows you how bad an organization the Raiders have become. When a team is this bad, you need to address your weakness, not your strength. RB was their deepest position. Fargas came into his own last season and was prepared to build upon it this season. They were even praised by some for taking Micheal

Just shows you how poorly managed this Oakland organization has become. Instead of addressing their needs , they drafted at their deepest position. Fargas came into his own last year and was set to build upon it. They were praised for taking Micheal Bush in the fourth round. Some claiming he was a diamond in the rough. We will never find out. I don't care how talented McFadden is. Who will open the holes for him to run thru? Who the hell is Russel going to pass to? They cut the wrong guy. Instead of Rhodes, Al Davis should have been cut!

I do feel that Oakland maybe picked the best player. First of all, there were no good offensive lineman worth picking up with the 4th pick. Also, everyone is saying that they should have picked Dorsey instead of McFadden. But last time i checked, the Raiders had solid D last season, and the combo of Burgess, Sapp, and the rest of the D-Line was pretty solid. Dorsey might have helped the D-Line, but if their defense is solid, they should draft offensive players. That's where McFadden comes in. Fargas was brilliant last season, but i don't know if he can continue it. People knew Fargas as a backup RB, but last year, he comes up big for the Raiders. There is a good chance that this year, he can become a bust. We have not seen him play enough to take a risk and trust him as a franchise RB. Like I said at first, there was no good offensive lineman to pick unless Jake Long was still available, but he wasn't so picking an offensive lineman would be foolish. So would a WR. (No WR was drafted in the first round) For QB and TE, they have Russell and Miller, two good young prospects. So the only place where they could upgrade while having a good player that is worth the pick is McFadden. With another playmaker, the Raiders offense might be able to generate points as well as TOP(time of possession) to lessen the playing time of their defense. I think that this is a good pick, but again, this is what I think...

It would have been hard to pass up DMAC...but damn Al, trade down...you have RB's and needed other positions filled. But hey, now you have a great RB along with some good ones...but no one to block for them.

you know whats worse...your a Chiefs fan. the Raiders cut bum backs because mcfaddens the future all of those guys were has beens or never was.they let randy go because they had no one to get him the ball, o yeah and he gave up. so what do you do u keep him let him eat 8 million a year to catch 4 td's buddy relax worry about LJ whose foot is prob. still broken because oakland will beat the chiefs down twice this year but dont worry they wont be the only ones (denver). Times are changing in oakland and your team hasnt been nice since they f****ed the priest. peace out

Thank you Oakland!? How about taking a look in your own house before you go spouting off. Last I checked Carl Peterson is still lowballing every player and just traded YOUR BEST PLAYER so he can make a last ditch effort to save his job, which he has admirably screwed up to no end! Hey, at least you got back Donnie Edwards, after he peaked with another team, so his career can nosedive back where he started!

Good luck with Brodie, genius!

the older al davis gets the crazier his mistakes become...all that and he passes on LSU's Glenn Dorsey who'll be a stopper for years to come while darren will last the typical 4 1/2 years...tsk tsk!

Al Davis also had the brain fart to sign Javon Walker for a gazillion bucks, after his stellar performances (post surgery) with Denver.   Oakland is a graveyard for these vets, and they should only go for a last pay-day before ambiguous retirement.

As a Bronco fan, I also salute you, Al ... thanks for two extra buy weeks every season for the AFC West when we play your pathetic klan of yesterday's hopefuls.
