We'll be drafting 2 young guys this year and he's terrible with rookies. Can we please fire him and get Marc Jackson. Listening to him during games really makes me believe he gets it. He'd be great for this team.

Frank has to be let go. How about either Rick Carlisle or Scott Skiles? Either could turn this team into a solid playoff contender by next year.

The Nets have to start with a pf that has some low post moves. All of their pf's are athletic but have no go to moves in the post. Swift, Williams and Boone are all so redundant . SG also needs to be addressed. VC is so unreliable he plays hard when he wants to. A shooting 2 or sf is a must VC and Jefferson have the same game except RJ likes to run and neither really can consistently stroke it from the outside. I agree, Frank must go. He is terrible with rookies. That philosophy of letting your rookies learn from the bench is so outdated and foolish. If you draft a kid that high he should see the floor let him take his lumps that way.

I still think it was worth the risk to take Sean Williams even with his off the court problems at BC. Now after a year with Frank doing what he did to him he's going to be a lost cause. Your telling me Frank couldn't find 10 lousy minutes a game for this kid? If you want to bury a guy like Swift for whatever reason who cares if he's not in the plans for the future. But to bury Williams was a complete disgrace. Now next year will be nothing more then a learning curve again. Maybe with 10 minutes a game the learning curve might be 1/4 to a 1/2 of year now it's going to be the whole year.
I understand the kid made mistakes everyone does. I'm not sure if he had a bad attitude or not. I didn't read anything glaring in the papers about him. At the very least he could block shots and rebound on D. At this point I feel we can work in all the bigs next year even if we draft a couple. I think with Harris, VC, RJ, Nenad and Boone starting and M Williams, S Williams, Diop, 2 bigs, then a combination of Ager a SG and SF we'll be fine.

I agree, Frank must go. He's more of an X's and O's type coach.
Carlisle would be a great coach, because he is a proven winner and will demand respect from the players.
How about Brian Hill???? I know I'm probably the only person to ever say that, but he had success back in the day with the Magic, and he's been an assistant coach, so he has the relationship with the players.

I really would like to give Marc Jackson a try. If not him why not a guy like Van Gundy?

I'm so tired of Frank, I would even take Larry Brown over him right now. Maybe we can get Scott back since back-stabbing Kidd is gone.

Scott would never come back to NJ..He's way too happy with his Hornets and why shouldn't he be? I'm not a big Frank fan either, and I think it would be great for the Nets to get a Mark Jackson or a Van Gundy, but come on, you really think Thorn would do that?

I would also love to have Scott back, he's a proven winner, but like YankeeFan said, there is no way he's leaving the Hornets.
I don't think Van Gundy or Jackson will be coaching the Nets next year, Jackson because the Nets are too good to have a rookie coach, and Van Gundy because the Nets aren't built like a typical Van Gundy team (griddy defense), unless they resign Diop and trade Vince Carter.
I really hope they get Carlisle, he is probably the best available, and the Nets won't have to take two-steps back before moving forward like they would if Jackson was the coach.

I think we ALL agree that Frank is an awful coach.. But why can't Rod Thorn see it? You guys all make valid points.
