I'm sorry but I just cannot stomach Mel Kiper another year; if I were the world Overlord, I would make Kiper fight Chris Spielman in a blood match.  However, one thing funny is my wife forgets who Mel Kiper is every year and she always makes the same comment about his hair each new year.

Agreed. The "expert" Mel Kiper argues with anyone who disagrees with him and if a team takes a player he didn't predict, he rips them for it. I say we throw Skip Bayless into the blood match as well. I know he wasn't commenting on the draft as it was happening, but I am 99% sure he will have something idiotic to say on First Take tomorrow. God I hate Skip Bayless.

I switched to the NFL Network for two reasons:  (1) they were scooping ESPN by 20-30 seconds on each pick, and bit of news information, and (2) there was no Chris Berman.  Seriously, hasn't everyone had about enough of Boomer's weak schtick?  I went "back, back, back, back, back", and I "did-go-all-the-way" to NFL Network.

I watched the NFL Network draft presentation on my pc...I thought it was great...that Mike (I forget his last name) nailed the whole first round...great insight....enjoyed watching half of the first round...that's all I have time for...but what I watched was enjoyable.

ESPN isn't the only dog in the hunt...

Tony Bruno vs. Mel Kiper

One of the best moments ever for the old ESPN Radio weekends was when Tony Bruno mocked Mel Kiper, Jr.

Some of Bruno's best lines were...

"Mel Kiper, Jr....draft" (pause) (busting out laughing) (composing himself) "Expert" (busting out laughing again)

(Going to commercial) "Mel Kiper Jr, and his hair will be right back after this break"

And my favorite one of all...

There was a Blackhawks game going on during the interview between Kiper & Chuck Wilson. Well, every time a goal was scored, Bruno would bust in with the famous Chicago Stadium airhorn sound effect...

Wilson: "Mel, what do you feel about the Bears prospects for runningbacks?"

Kiper: "Well, their draft board is filled with..."

Bruno (breaking in with the HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN sound effect): JEREMY ROENICK SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could tell that Kiper was getting very perturbed at Tony Bruno, and I loved it!

I found the NFL Network more tolerable.  ESPN seemed disjointed and as much as I like Boomer...he just seemed lost in trying to keep things on the up and up.

Kiper is an ass...his way or no way.
