Anyone go to the game?

If not, I'll give you a short summary. Casey Dick will obviously be given the reigns next year, and appears to be our only option. He looked much better than usual (completed consecutive passes), but his competition was our less than stellar defense. London Crawford appears to be Casey's main target next year, and we even threw to the tight ends on occasion. Alex Mortensson and Nathan Dick started for the other side, and as I expected, they have virtually no talent.

Our defensive backs played terrible, which tells me alot about what next year will look like. Teams are going to throw for big gains, and there doesn't seem much that we can do to stop it. Our runningbacks looked mediocre, but that may be because our defensive lines were playing well....

Overall, I wasn't impressed with our team. They looked sloppy and pretty mediocre, which is to be expected. I'd be happy if we won 50% of our games next year.

Just curious....in regard to Nathan, what part of 10 for 17 - 155 yards and 2 tds got you to that conclusion?

Well...First of all, if you had gone to the game you would have noticed when Nathan got most of his passing yardage. He got it in the second half when many of the starters were replaced by second stringers. Not to mention that second stringers started for each team in the secondary the entire game. Also, most of his passes would never have left his hands had the defensive line rushed at full speed. In at least 4 cases, the defensive line slowed down to allow him to throw the ball. When second stringers are playing in the secondary it makes it easy for the QB to key in on them...

So, 10-17 for 155 yards ehh...That's against one of the worst DB cores in the SEC. Not to mention that he wasn't even facing our entire starting defensive line, linebacker core, and secondary. His passes were inaccurate and he looked sluggish in the pocket, which explains why I wasn't impressed. This is the SEC, and going 10-17 in a scrimmage against a squad who has scout team players on the field isn't going to cut it. Frankly it worries me that if Casey Dick somehow gets injured, that Nathan will be our only option next year.

Its been a while since the Razorbacks have had any semblance of a passing game, so that might explain why someone would find Nathan Dick's performance impressive.
