Ok-- I hereby declare the Texans as the winners of this years draft- Frank Okam in the 5th round-- not that's a steal. I think you guys will lead the NFL in players drafted who will make the 53-man roster come week 1 of the season.

I think we've drafted some solid players who are going to give us depth at a lot of positions and contributions down the road, but I think most people will rag on our draft because none of these guys are likely to start the season high on the depth chart.

Slaton and Adibi have the best chance to do it if they have good springs, but there's definitely some competition at SLB and RB. Brown is a project, and probably won't get on the field until midway through the season. Molden is definitely a project as well, and I think there's a good chance he winds up on the practice squad. Okam though should make the team, and hopefully inspire Travis Johnson to get it in gear and push to the next level.

But we'll certainly be better off next year if we suffer the barrage of injury that took its toll last season. Now here's to hoping Rick Smith has some steal of a pass-rushing DE in the 6th or 7th.

I really like Adibi too, and like you said I think he has the best chance to really make an impact this year.  Im a huge Texas and love Okam but thats a really bias opinion. But like you said Nash I think we just added a lot of depth for the up comming season.

Some part of me just wonders if trading down and not taking Aquib Talib was the right choice.

But, we got our LT... and as long as our 3rd round CB & HB work out.  I can't complain.

I agree with Nashmiester, a lot of developmental guys in this years draft for the Texans. They are either right, or they put way too much faith in combine numbers and thier belif in the coaching staff.

You can make lemonaide out of lemons, but can you make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t? Time will tell wich of the two taks they will face.

I am optimistic, but hope to see some proof soon.
