Whatever. I see Aqib Talib and I think Alan Zemaitis.

Passed on Brohm, too. Heck, they passed on Jenkins!

The Buccaneers are again on a different page. Hope this pans out.

The only guy i would have taken over Talib was jenkins. Not brohm. We don't need 99 qbs. None of the receivers are any good. I'd take Caldwell or some1 we could get in the second round over jackson or that bust in the making thomas. I like the pick. We need Caldwell or a receiver in round 2

Told you we wouldn't draft a WR.  I mean we could have drafted the #1 WR in the draft... and truthfully, I wouldn't have complained about that move... BUT we did need a CB.  The ole pot smoker was a top 10 pick until the drama hit the press.

Does anyone remember Warren Sapp?  Yeah, he slipped to us.  And now so did Talib.

Good move.  Will help out defense!

Now, with NO wr's selected in round 1, as of 5:44 pm, there is sure to be some in round 2.

Good job Tampa Bay.

Yeah, receivers will be in the round, but how many teams ahead of us need receivers to.

Okay... we just traded back with Jax... what did we get?  a 5th and a 7th next year?  I think that's what Bermen just said.

Unforntunately because of my rating I cant post my own thread. Thats being said WTF BUCS? Why did we trade back in this round? We need a receiver. Call me crazy but JG isnt exactly getting any younger and who knows what we will get out of M. Clayton.

Meanwhile, guys are throwing tantrums on the tbo.com blogosphere... wah!!!! We didn't get Limus Sweed... waaahh.  Yet these SAME guys would have drafted any WR with the Bucs 1st pick.... or Brohm with it, who didn't get selected till #56.  We could have had him in round 2 with our 2nd, yet you geniuses would have drafted him in round 1 along with all those other great WR's.

LOL!

Now we have a 2nd 5th.  An extra 5th makes up for no 6 or 7 this year.  I like it.

Well we traded our 2nd to JAX and ended up losing out on BOTH decent QBs...Henne and Brohm just went...I HATE Green Bay now.

I wanted us to get Brohm in the 2nd round...we could have done so much with that kid.

Looks like we finally got a WR.  He is fast...small college...ate up the Michigan Wolverines...hopefully Dexter Jackson does well in the NFL.  WE NEED HIS SPEED!!!

I think we reached for him a little...I thought we could pick him up in the 3rd if we wanted him.

I doubt we would have drafted a QB this year anyway man.  We already traded for Griese.  Next year we go get a QB.

We have an extra 5th by only trading back 4-5 slots.  I think that is solid.  We needed a little depth in this draft anyway.

We got a fast WR: Dexter Jackson:

Jackson is extremely fast and unlike Donnie Avery (Houston), he is a fluid slot-receiver type with loose hips and excellent quickness. He is very dangerous with the ball in his hands both after the catch and in the return game.

I'd still be happy with the Florida WR Caldwell by the end of the draft.

Now lets start picking best available.

I don't know.  Jeff Garcia is upset with the Buccaneers because a lack of a long term deal.  He is gone next year if we don't resign him.  Brian Griese is just a stop gap before a decent quarterback replaces him.  After watching a few games with Brian Brohm, I really thought he was a good quarterback.  I have seen a few BC games and didn't see where Matt Ryan was any better than Brohm...in fact I thought Brohm was better than Ryan in many aspects.  That is why I thought a 2nd round pick would be great for him.  Too bad :(

Dexter Jackson I agree is a extremely fast player that has the ability to break a game open...something we haven't seen in a young wide receiver.  Even though he is a little short, I am hoping he could be our replacement for Galloway.

I agree, sooner or later the Bucs are going to learn they can't win a game with 0 points on the board. We need offensive help bad and we just keep drafting defense. I am happy with our second round pick but I much rather have had Limas.
