Three Things the Phoenix Suns need to have a shot at winning this series with the Spurs

1)  The Suns need Grant Hill healthy for defensive purposes to have a chance--They need to be able to have three different guys who can check either Manu Ginobli or Tony Parker for spells and since Nash can't guard anybody but Bowen-----that basically leaves them with Barbosa, Bell, and Hill to take turns at those guys.

2)  They need Shaq to stay out of foul trouble and play around 35 minutes a game--He is the ONLY GUY who can guard Duncan on that squad.  (Boy Suns fans, wouldn't it be nice to still have Kurt Thomas right about now?).

3) Mike D'Antoni needs to sit on the bench, shut his mouth, and let Nash do his thing--Calling a post up play for Boris Diaw in the waning moments of the fourth quarter?  What the f-- was that?  (.........forget the curveball Ricky...Give 'em the heater!!!)

Seriously, team defensive effort and game planning. Do you think Manu is going to go left, maybe? Maybe he just needs to hit another game winning layup over you. You might want to go back to running the high pick and roll with Amare and Nash rather than iso's for Diaw and Shaq.

The Suns need a coach who can beat another team, not just institute a new system.

1)  Barbosa and Giricek need to step up off the bench.

2)  Boris Diaw needs to stop trying to be too cute.

3)  Raja Bell needs to be the tough defender he normally is, which he hasn't been in the first two games. 

Some of been stated so excuse the repetitiveness:

1) Boris Diaw needs to be more effective. We don't expect you to get 20 and 10, but when you are given your opportunities, do something with them.

2) Get tough. Put Ginobli and Parker on their ass when they drive.

3) Hill, Giricek, Barbosa need to play better. Barbosa has been non-existant so far and Hill plagued by an injury. Giricek is one of the few 3 pt. options we have still.

4) STAT and Shaq need to stay in the game. No more cheap reach-in fouls or blocking calls.

5) Nash needs to be more aggressive. Its not his forte to be a scorer but when other guys aren't stepping up, you need to show why you won two MVP's.

6) Go at Duncan. Getting him in foul trouble could do wonders.

7) BELIEVE. You played well all season against the Spurs. I know the playoffs is a different animal, but stop playing scared or intimidated. Your not doing the things you did all season. Go back to them.
