he asked to get traded. The fans see that as abandonment. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, that's just what it is.
Pens in 7!

Exactly. Straka and Rozsival won't get booed tomorrow because they didn't beg to be traded or claim they were "dying alive here." I never understood why he'd want to be traded so badly. He made tons of money, always made the playoffs and got to play with two of the best players of all time in Lemieux and Francis and star players are almost on the level of gods in this city, big fish in a small pond.
It's not just Pittsburghers who think he's a jerk. I lived in Jagr's homeland for 18 months and while the Czechs respect Jagr for helping win a gold in Nagano in 1998, they think he's a douchebag, although they consider Hasek to be an even worse one.

pens could win or the Rangers could win , but in reality it doesn't matter because the HABS will be waiting to crush either team

Just like they crushed #8 seed Boston? I think you better worry about Philly first, because Les Habitents certainly won't be "waiting" for the next round to begin. They're going to be in a dogfight of their own.

Jagr is exactly right in everything he said in this article. I don't know why we boo him, i kno i don't...So he wanted traded, so what! It happens. The team was going downhill and so was ownership and the league itself was falling face first in the mud. I don't hate him. He's the 2nd best player ever in Pens history and will go to the HOF as a Penguin! But I do think he's a tad old to take over a series and Pens wil in 5 games. Habs? Nahh! They could barely beat the Bruins, so what makes them think they can beat a scrappy Flyers team? Flyers in 6, Pens in 5,
Pens over Flyers in 6

He also was a grade A jerk while in the Burgh. Couple that with wanting to be traded and Pens fans have every right to boo Jag-off-r.
And ya I bet the Habs will be waiting for the Pens. They'll be waiting on their couches at home. I relly don't want the Pens to play the Flyers but I think they will finish the job that Boston couldn't.

Jaromir Jagr did some great things while he played here, including win 2 Stanley Cups, but that was 7-8 years ago! Now he is a captain for the Rangers so that means he needs to be booed, especially when we're playing them in the 2nd round of the PLay-Offs! He asked to leave so what else are people supposed to do? Also, Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen got traded to Atlanta earlier in the year and within 2 weeks were back in Pittsburgh for a game. I was there and they both got nice applause ,but when the game went to a shoot out, Christensen got a ton of boo's when he took his shot. It's the nature of the game. Penguins in 6!
LET'S GO PENS!!!!

He also gets booed because he wasn't a blue collar type player that Pittsburgh fans love. Rumor at the time he left for Washington - he had pyschological issues and he had issues with his skating boot. He would have been better off as a goalie with his mind issues. Kinda reminds you of Peter Forsberg before he left the Flyers with his skating boot issue.

I seriously doubt anyone cares. If fans were expected to boo every pro athlete who once played for their team (and in this case, it's been several years since Jagr left), they'd never be quiet. Writers must really be gripping for something interesting to say about this series.

Mr Boston-
The Habs barely beat your #8 seed Bruins to move on, what makes you think they will wipe the ice with the Rangers or Pens?
For the sake of Frenchie-Poohs in Montreal they better hope that Philly wins so their entire town doesn't get burned down. (Seriously a first round win and they riot in the streets?)
Whoever takes this Pens-Rangers series goes to the Cup from the east. Montreal is all Finesse and won't fare so well in a 7 game knock em down, drag em out series against a tough Philly team.
sic03-
That's a sweeeeeet avatar you got there. Do you live in the Burgh? If so have you heard the Gary Roberts (Billy Joel Piano Man) song on DVE?
