Sharks vs. Stars

Calgary was just what the Sharks needed. It was a good reality check as to what it will take to make it to the Finals. Sharks will get more consistent effort from everyone and take care of the Stars. Sharks in 6.

Sharks in 6.  San Jose came alive when they needed to in game 7.  I was surprised they even made it to game 7 after being up 2-0 in game 3 or 4 (I forget) and then losing it late.  I thought they showed a ton of character to come back after that potentially crushing setback.

The Stars were great in their series against the Ducks, but I don't see it happening this time.

WOW ..experts say dallas....its gonna be all SHARKS!!!!!!

Hmmmm.....typical responses.  Defend your team's shoddy play, and don't give credit to the other's outstanding play.  The Sharks had to win a 7th game against a team they were way more superior than--and if not for a goal by Thornton w/ less than 10 seconds left in Game 4, probably would have lost the series in 6.  Yet you all think it was "just what they needed" and it "showed good character".  Baloney!!  You mean to say that you are glad they had to scratch, claw and put forth all that effort to win a first round series??  The Sharks showed no heart and passion in some of those games, and that is not what you want in the playoffs.  Just the thing that has doomed them in the past.  Meanwhile, the Stars completely outplay the defending Stanley Cup champs in every aspect of the game, on their way to a much-more-dominating-than-it-looked
 4-2 series win.  There was more "character" and "just what they needed" repercussions from the Stars' domination than from the Sharks' desperation.
