Hmmmm.....typical responses. Defend your team's shoddy play, and don't give credit to the other's outstanding play. The Sharks had to win a 7th game against a team they were way more superior than--and if not for a goal by Thornton w/ less than 10 seconds left in Game 4, probably would have lost the series in 6. Yet you all think it was "just what they needed" and it "showed good character". Baloney!! You mean to say that you are glad they had to scratch, claw and put forth all that effort to win a first round series?? The Sharks showed no heart and passion in some of those games, and that is not what you want in the playoffs. Just the thing that has doomed them in the past. Meanwhile, the Stars completely outplay the defending Stanley Cup champs in every aspect of the game, on their way to a much-more-dominating-than-it-looked 4-2 series win. There was more "character" and "just what they needed" repercussions from the Stars' domination than from the Sharks' desperation.
