Well I am under the impression we're going by players this season. So far Putz has been on the DL all year. Thats what could hurt my team potentially. You have a solid bullpen, but like I said I think that with Big B's lineup, your starters won't last as long as you would like and by the end of the series they may tire out. Just my opinion. Verlander and Weaver aren't the two best pitchers in the game or anything, but they are both solid and I don't think your lineup presents the same challenge as his does to yours. No problem. Like I said, I might not even vote for my team if I wasn't actually in the matchup. But, just as an FYI, this thing is NOT based on this year. This year effects it, but we all know that Nate McLouth is not the best player in baseball- and no one should vote as if he is.

My bad 14. I just read the rosters, and not the info that went with.
For 14 - Your Starters are young, and prone to bad outings more often than those more proven. As for your hitters, and as the team name alludes to, your team has speed, but lacks pop.
For Big B - Your team will have more pop than 14's. I also think that your team b.a will be higher in the end. Also, I like your staff better. Your pitchers have a little more experience, and should hold up a little better over the course of the season. I also like Big B's bench more than 14's. 14 has the multi-position players that I like, but you have the more solid players.
I like Big B's team 51%, 14's 49%. Pretty even, IMO.

I like 14 Straight. It just seems like all Big B did was try to draft the best talent possible, regardless if it fit his team. He has one table setter (Jose Reyes) and 8 free swingers. 14's offense has much better balance with Crawford and Roberts at the top and Jones, Martinez, and Konerko as run producers. The pitching is fairly even, though if I was 14 Straight, I would have had the veteran Tom Glavine as my 5th starter rather than Jair Jurrjens

I think 14 straight has a much better infield. Chipper Jones is clutch and Victor is the best catcher in the league. He also has good pitching, J.J. Putz closing is good too. He has more speed. Roberts could bunt for base hits, and then Chipper would hit him in with his .453 BA. Jair Jurrjens is underrated..

Big B will win because They have better hitters, and a much better Starting Rotation. 14straight's pitchers are young, and would not be used to pitching in a playoff game. Big B willl have a much better On base Percentage, and their whole team can easily hit them all in. The only thing 14straight has a is a goood bullpen, but one they might have a chance to even play in this game.
Big B wins it.

Ok so we are going by players just based on their current status. That means even if for example C.C. Sabathia is doing terrible right now but we expect him to do well, we can argue for him? I was under the impression that we weren't going by players performance last year or anything though but rather by their current state. For example, if a player hit 40 homers last year and that was a career year, we don't go by those numbers? Just want to clear this up for future reference.

Free swingers? 14 has a much better offense and is better balanced? I got guys that don't fit my team? Is it just me or is Hurricane going to vote against me everytime with these ridiculous reasons because he hates me?
I know it still counts and I could care less, but I just want to know if I'm the only one who thinks Hurricane is an idiot.
