It seems the Ducks were the stronger team up front in all games, but Dallas never quit.  In game 6 the Ducks came out and got the 1st goal which is crucial and then went back to not skating and dumb penalties and it finally cost us.  I liked watching Dallas as they never quit and they took advantage of the Ducks as soon as they stopped skating in every game.  Turco was phenomenal and Giguere wasn't as strong and it didn't help that Dallas created opportunities and the Ducks hung him out to dry with bad penalties and no defense.  As much as the Ducks played themselves out of this series and gave Dallas so many opportunities, all the credit has to go to Dallas for capitalizing and playing tough.  Although I still don't appreciate they way they fall a little too easy and Turco being a cheap goalie, they were fun to watch and if they play like this I think they are major contenders.

On a last note, dropping the confetti and streamers with 4 seconds left was kind of crappy, but it didn't really matter.  I don't know if Dallas will get Colorado or San Jose, but Turco will have to keep playing strong for you guys to have the best chance of advancing farther.

Stars looked good....in the third period. If they can play like that more often, the cup is ours. Cup or no cup, Marty Turco needs to go.

It's funny everyone trashes me for calling Turco a bush league goalie, but I congratulate them on outplaying the Ducks almost the whole series and its quiet.  Can anyone answer why so many people want to see Marty Turco leave when he is a premier goaltender in terms of talent and the team is finally helping him out?  This team can win the cup if they play like they did against Anaheim, but without Turco Dallas would be lost this year and who knows what this series would have been like had he not made some great saves.

I dont know if you know much about the Stars franchise but we produce goalies left and right around here.. For example, We made Belfour and his backups were Manny Fernandez who eventually went to the Wild and did take them to the Conference finals, then we had Roman Turek, who took Calgary to the playoffs and owned the Stars when we did play them. Now we have Turco and Mike Smith was doing good til we traded him. We aren't scared to start over with a new goalie because we can produce talent at that position. This is Turco's first series win in 4 years.. He wasnt clutch till last year

MBP22, I know a little about the Stars, especially how you guys seem to kill the Ducks every year.  Good call on Turek, forgot about him.  I was talking with some other fans about this and we agreed that when Turco is on he might be the best goalie in the league as he makes people look stupid.  On the other hand when Turco is off he gets shelled for 4 or 5 goals and it goes in streaks.  The Ducks are pretty good at producing goalies as well with Giguere being our backstop and letting Gerber go who helped two teams to the Cup Finals and won one even though he was replaced after the first series.  We also produced Bryzgalov who led the Coyotes this year and now Hiller who looked great down the stretch.  What I still don't understand is, until you have a Mike Smith ready to go, why would you trade a Turco who can still be one of the best even though he had struggled until last year?

I have to disspell some ridiculous rumors that I have seen in this thread to this point.  The Stars playoff downfall has not been the man in the pipes it has been the scoring ability of the players around him.  Marty Turco boasted a 1.3 GAA last year when the Stars lost in the 1st round...I think that is pretty clutch, he also has a 2.01 so far this year, once again so far he has been pretty clutch.  This year his team has finally found the ability to score goals as well taking some pressure off him and allow him to just play his game.  I think Turco is a phenominal goalie who looked a little shaky in a few of his first post seasons, mostly inexperience, but is the man we need to have to continue to compete for lord stanleys cup.  I mean come on the man has just entered his prime....which means he could get even better.

YOU GOT RID OF SMITH BUT PICKED UP Brad Richards WHO IS A PROVEN CLUTCH PLAYER COME PLAYOFF TIME...I SEE THE Stars MAKING THE FINALS WITH THE LEADERSHIP ON THE TEAM!
