It is so quiet because there is nothing left to be said by the Seattle fans. It is about time! We tried telling you for months it (relocation) was going to happen, and now that it has, hopefully all the name calling and the blame game will cease. Hopefully, but probably not. As we Oklahomans have said, the people responsible for this are your so-called leaders, and their refusal to do what was right by the city and the fans. Our leaders listened to us and their hearts and decided to to what was best for everyone.

This half-assed lawsuit is just a yield sign, not a stop sign.  Seattle fans, feel free to access the OKC message board anytime next year, we won't mind......

Sure thing, hoss. Only problem is there won't be an OKC board next year. You need to get it through your thick skull that Bennett will NOT get out of the lease. There's no way that's going to happen. So forget all the pie-in-the-sky promises. I can't believe you still listen to what's been proven to be outright lies. A half-billion dollar arena is not right for any city. And say by some miracle Bennett manages to win all three cases pending against him. What will OKC do when he makes a similar demand. Bet you can't answer that one. That's what is so hilarious. In your desperation for a team you meekly submitted to the screwing of the century.

I will agree with one thing hawk, it won't be next year, it will be the following year!!  I'm sure someone will find a way to drag these lawsuits out long enough to be too late for next year but that won't be the case the following year.  All Seattle is doing is burning their only bridge to get another NBA team in the next decade by trying this "scorched earth policy" of bleeding Bennetts group purposely.  Once Seattle recognizes the battle is lost some of your elected officials will realize they better take whatever money Bennet is offering and let them go or be stuck with a debt of their own on an arena that has NO TEAM to play in it.  Let it go man, they're moving, let's just be adults about it.......

For all the OKC fans tired of Seattle fans coming at you for criticism, just note the post here.  How does it help that cause, when complete idiots like OKC John here continue to rub the situation in Seattle's face?

BTW, the fights' not done yet idiot.  There was a 99.99% chance the NBA was passing the vote on Friday.  There's also a clause in that vote that says Bennett needs to be free of his lease before relocating is approved.  The battle is really in June.  When Seattle wins that court case, don't feel free to come on OUR message board next year or beyond.  A year from now, Seattle will be presenting the NBA a $300M Key Arena upgrade and any owner with a brain would not approve the move from the Seattle market to the OKC market with that alternative.

You sir, are one of the true classless acts I see on these message boards from OKC.  Idiot.

Hey Hawks, why is it okay for you and all the others to talk bad about OKC and its people? Is it right to be called inbred cow riding, dooche-licking, scum-sucking, theiving no good bastards? Is it right for Oklahomans to be blamed for what is going on? The answer is NO. Not from either side of this mess. All this petty bullsh.. from both side is ridiculous. We say you started it, you say we started it. Who gives a rats ass? But, if you think I am going to stand by and read the same crap on every post your wrong!. You people want to bad mouth us, so you are going to get it right back.

The majority of the people from Seattle have no clue about Oklahoma. But that does not stop you from bad mouthing it. I will say this for the last time. It is not our fault that Seattle is losing their team. We are only the benafactors in this mess. It is between the owner and the city of Seattle.  I said over 2 weeks ago I would not say anything more about the fans from Seattle unless provoked. And to this day there are still derogatory comments from your side. Hey Hawk, is it okay for your side and not okay from our side. Come on, I am ready to bury the hatchet and talk about the up coming year and all the draft possibilities, the future of the team.

I do think that a couple of the threads that I started were a little much, and for that I do apologize. You are right that I did rub it in your faces, and I should not have done that. I would not like it if it was done to me. I actually knew I was being a dick, I just did'nt realize how big of one I was. My bad !!!!

John....first, kudos for the apology.  Takes something to do that.....BUT, this is the 2nd time now I've heard an apology from you, only to read further threads later on you've created to further upset the situation from a Seattle standpoint.

Secondly, you've never read one time from me degrading the people from OKC.  I've shot back when my points are erroneously questioned to individuals, or when I read BS threads like this.  And, if I read them again, I'll shoot back at that individual who writes such garbage.  But, I've never written a post and lumped all Oklahomans into a group at all so it's complete BS for you to suggest as such to me.  To that extent, I've always said OKC deserves a team....just not this one.  This is a short term fix for Clay Bennett to capitalize on the novelty of having a pro sports team for the first tim in this market.  Long term, the OKC market cannot compete with the Seattle market from an economic perspective.  It just can't.  Population, growth, income, etc all fall to Seattle.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.  OKC deserves a team, just not this one.

Hawks,  if you have never said anything, I appericate that. My apology,s were sincere. There are still some folks that just want to bad mouth us instead of the situation. I think you know who they are. I truely would rather talk hoops than talk shi-.  I agree that Seattle deserves a team, but I am afraid that the way the city is handling this deal, it may anger the wrong people, and hurt the chances of getting another team soon.

The way it sounds here, Bennett may distance himself and the team from anything Sonics, to help establish the new team. I think it would be great to have Seattle always have the Sonics name and colors. I think that is only right. So when they get another team, the can still be the Sonics. Look, this is a crappy deal and hopefully it will turn out to be good for everyone concerned.

No disrespect to anyone but it looks like Seattle may be giving up on its fight as long as it can get a team in the future. It will then be up to the Seattle and Washington governments to complete the deal according to this article:
