That's what I've heard today from all of my buddies who really dislike the Flyers. The Flyers have dominated the series with the exception of period 3 in game 1. I don't see how they think that will happen.

I was just wondering does anybody else think that the Flyers will blow it based on past years luck in the playoffs?

I think they will win next game to take it 4-1 in the series.

Go Flyers!!!

That's the thing about this Flyers team.  There's nothing to compare them to. This is a crop of players that did not make the playoffs last season and half the roster (if not more) was not even together 2 seasons ago.

You could make an arguement for the Lindros teams of the 90's/early 00's blowing it in a trend because those teams had the same main group of players for about 7 seasons and essentially exited the playoffs in the same manner (conference finals, game 7's, etc.) by not winning the big games.

Since the exit of Lindros, the team has pretty much flip-flopped players and coaching staff around.  No stability equals no playoff runs.

This team seems different.  They went through some growing pains last season (last in the NHL) and have come together this season by growing as a team (key acquisitions, as well). If (and I stress the word IF) this team doesn't make it far in the playoffs this year, it's not because of Team History.....  Team History went out the door when the last of the Lindros decade were gone (Recchi and LeClair). This is a new chapter....

There is no way they will blow it. They will win this in 5. Next round might be a different story though. I cant wait till they win this series in Washington
