Since the beginning of this debacle in Seattle, the odds of the team actually moving have been steadily declining (they were never that good to begin with). Now, with all the recent developents, the chance of the Sonics moving are around 28% and dropping. So to all Sonics fans relax, the odds are stacked against the visiting team. The Sonics are very unlikely to go anywhere. Hell, Schultz' announcement almost makes the owners' meeting a moot point.

Your dreaming. The Sonics are still coming here. This is nothing more than a bump in the road. If Stern wants them here, then they will be here, period.

Now did you come up with that percentage on your own?

I would love to compute the odds!!!

98% chance that OK will be very happy!

2% chance that Seattle will see the NBA in the next 10 years!!!

What all these lawsuits do is make it more likely that the team will stay in Seattle.  The longer this draws out the less the owners in OK City will want to keep at it.  What should happen is for Stern to broker a deal with Clay Clay and local Seattle ownership and then set up an expansin team to start playing in OK City in 2010.  That woud coinside with when the Ford Center would be all complete with it's upgrades.  We do have precedence that the city of Seattle's court case will be in their favor therefore forcing the Sonics to stay until 2010.  Compound that with the Shultz lawsuit and the other NBA owners may want to find a cleaner and quiter way to make all this go away.  On top of all this we have the NBA referee going to trial soon for fixing games.  It's just a messy situation right now in ther NBA.

That all sounds good and well, but the lawsuit will not go in your favor.  By the way where was all this "we love the Sonics" actions at in the beginning?

It has nothing to do with love.  The fans and the region have always supported the Sonics.  The main problem has always been the politicians who have not "loved" the Sonics.  They havn't loved any team here and have always been in opposition to any tax for arenas and the like.  Many of our reps in Olympia will be running for re-election this year.  They will find out what allk this crap is going to cost them.  Also to give a quantifiable number to the discussion, of all the e-mails and calls put into the Capital about finding an arena solution, 97% of them were in favor of a new arean deal or even a Key arena renovation.  Our political lackeys though decided that there just wasn't enough time.  It was bull crap then just as much as it's bull crap for you to say there is no love for the Sonics here.

I never stated that the fans didnt have any love for the team,  I was mainly refering to the politicians.............who you stated are looking for re-election soon......to all of a sudden take action.
