Okay, I will post the question, and you guys answer in detail. Everyone will vote based on how good your answers are. No one vote until the members have given their answers. If one hasn't posted their answer.

Question:

What has been the most important factor for your team making the playoffs?

The most important factor to my team (the Hawks) making the playoffs has been the Bibby Factor.  Since joining the Hawks, after the all-start break, Mike Bibby has rejuvinated this franchise.  Mike Bibby is not only another scorer and 3-point shooter on the team but he also is a leader.  He is a point guard that can spread the floor to create for himself and others - and is not affraid to take the big shot (which is what he did when he played for those great Sacremento Kings teams a few years ago).  The Bibby Factor has also solidified the Hawks starting line-up - thus taking away from team ability to double and tripple team Joe Johnson.  The Bibby Factor has also made is possible for the Hawks to run the floor with Josh Smith and Marvin Williams.  In turn, this has also opened up the floor for rookie sensation Al Horfod.
So the main instrument that has gotten the Hawks to the playoff has been the breath of fresh air that was ushered in by the aquisition on Mike Bibby

On the court:

On the court, the most important factor has been the defense and the defensive mentality of this team.  The Celtics have handled all types of offenses sets, great teams, west coast/east coast, and they have the mental ability to do this consistently day in and day out whether the teams were average or good.  They are the best at this. They never wavered in agreeing as a team, in Rome, at the start, that if we commit to this play, we have the tools to also be good on O.  Most instrumental was aquiring Kevin Garnett to set this tone.  When Ray Allen plays the press, then you know the Celts have one thing on their mind, and are committed.....to shut you down.

Off the court:

It was the ping pong balls, and the relationship between Danny and Kevin.  The Celtics lost again on the lottery.  It forced Danny to make a decision, do I continue picking up youth, wasting The Truth, or do I save the Truth, give up a great young Al J, and deliver 2 additional vets, the great KG, as the trade.  That factor, that decision, those ping pong balls brought the Chalk Master, the leader of the D factor above, to the parquet.  In the end, the off the court factor lead it all.

Most important:  The Ping Pong balls.  It remains to be seen how it plays out.  It was the factor that played the hand, that brought in the KG man, and changed the D in Boston Land.

The Hawks won 45% of their games this season.

They won 45% of their games when Bibby wasn't on the roster.

They won 45% of their games when Bibby was on the roster.

How is Axesstarr winning this?  His argument doesn't even make sense.  The Hawks were just as good without Bibby.

The results were the same wether he was on the team or not.  With him or without him they won the same percentage of games.  How is he the reason they made the playoffs?  Obviously if he never joined the team, they still could have won the exact same amount of games and made the playoffs.

ok sense its obvious that you lack intellectual fortitude let me break it down for you

the Hawks had a decent 1st two months 15-13(54%) not great but ok....

in January they went 4-11 thus making them 19-24....

the February games before Mike Bibby they were 3-4, making them 22-28 (44%)...

So its obvious they were heading in the wrong direction when the 1st 25 games they were 13-12 and the next 25 games they were 9-16....

since than they went 15-17 when Mike Bibby joined the team

So there you go Mr. Dumbas

axesstat's post made absolutely no sense.
Bibby only had 5 double-doubles and on 3 occasions had more turnovers than assists.  He was the leading scorer only twice as a Hawk and in 12 games (nearly 33%) he was not the lead man in dimes. The 17-22 record kind of blows his credentials out of the water too.

Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Al Horford and Marvin Williams were able to play 80+ games this year.  The Hawks were also 11th in rebounds and 7th in offensive rebounds

So Team Chemistry and Second Chance Points are the reason the Hawks made the Playoffs.

The reason I didn't join this is because I feared it would become a popularity contest. It looks like it is already healthily down that path.
