Crean has landed his first verbal commitment at Indiana for the 2009 recruiting class: Bobby Capobianco is a 6-foot-8, 220 pound forward who plays for Loveland in Ohio. Bobby is a member of the Indiana Elite AAU team. He averaged 21 pts and 12 boards this season for Loveleand.

It's nice to know that we will at least have one "BIG" coming in for 2009.

With a name like Bobby Capobianco, even if he doesn't play well, at least he could have a couple guys whacked if we needed it.  In all seriousness, that kid looks like a beast.  He should be a fan favorite in Assembly Hall.

"if he doesn't play well, at least he could have a couple guys whacked if we needed it."

That's not the first mafia reference I have heard in regards to his name.

Anyway, it is good that Crean is adding some depth down low.  I think that Crean is also after a few more bigs, which is great.  I think a lack of depth at the post has held us back a little for a while.  I can't remember the last time we had more than two or three bodies we could run in down low.

Hes gonna be our version of Kevin Love. He has a vicious sounding name(the opposite of Love)haha. Hes my age and looks 5 years older.

Now if we can get Lance "Born Ready" Stephenson. Top 3 in nation for 09(represent baby)

Were #1 on his list.

Great post, its nice to see some great commitments associated with Crean.  I think he is going to be great, great, great for the program.  Did I say great!   Sorry I am just very happy that they finally landed the right guy to push IU back to the national spotlight that we all strive for.  Go Hoosiers.
