By Derek Lofland. Now that the NFL Combine has concluded, it is time to start looking at where these players are going to go. I’m not going to tell you that I was at the combine or have interviewed Bill Parcells to get a read on who the Dolphins will take with their number one pick. I am not Mel Kiper Jr and have access to the front office of every NFL team at the touch of my cell phone.

1) Miami Dolphins: If I were Parcells I would draft McFadden. I keep hearing people say this would be a stupid pick, because the Dolphins are set at running back. The Miami Dolphins were 1-15 last season. Ronnie Brown tore his ACL in his right knee. He has been an average back, at best, his first 3 years in the NFL. His best season is 1,008 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns in 2006. In 2007 he was on pace to rush for 1,376 yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. That would be a good season, but hardly numbers that would indicate an upgrade would be out of the question. They need a playmaker they can build the offense around, someone defensive coordinators stay up at night having nightmares about, and figure out what to do with too many good players later. However, they will draft...

Miami takes an O-lineman or a DT.  I predict Glenn Dorsey.  They need to someone to take up blockers and stuff the run.

St Louis needs O-linemen.   Jake Long

Atlanta needs a lot and they take Chris Long

Oakland takes McFadden

KC takes Ryan Clady

NY Jets select Vernon Gholston

New England takes Leodis McKelvin

Baltimore takes Matt Ryan

Bengals take Sedrick Elli

Yo wacko,

I like the original article better.  Especially when they have the Falcons taking Matt Ryan and the Ravens taking Leodis McKelvin.  I think if the Ravens take Ryan they will have a riot on their hands.

The Baltimore Ravens are on the clock.........

I don't think Matt Ryan gets past Dolphins, Falcons, Chiefs & the Jets to be sitting there for the Ravens. Whichever team that does NOT draft this Carson Palmer clone, will be kicking themselves in three years.

carson has a MUCH better arm then ryan. there is no way i see the comparison. also, when carson was in college, i don't think he threw 19 picks in his whole career.

This is why it is a good thing they hired Parcells and not you.  Convienient that you left out Ronnie Brown's recieving statistics.

While he was on pace for 1,376 rushing yards, he was also on pace for 890 recieving yards.  Holy cannoli, if getting 2,266 yards is production from a merely average HB, I would hate to hear what it take to be an elite back.

When Ronnie Brown went down he was leading all NFL players in fantasy points in most scoring systems.

Maybe, but that doesn't mean he's wrong.

Hell, the reason he's on my favorites list is because he just says what he's thinking instead of bullshitting people.

By the way, imagine what kind of stats Ronnie Brown could pile up on a team that actually had a decent passing game and a decent offensive line.

dorsey 9th? ellis 10th? absolutely ridiculous.

clady 5th? won't happen. i know the Chiefs have drafted poorly over the past 10 years, but c'mon. they won't reach for clady. i read they like albert more anyway, but would have to trade down for him.

(exceptions to chiefs drafting poorly comment: Dwayne Bowe and Tamba Hali)
