For everyone who thinks McFadden is a finesse player all you have to do is watch the tape from last years Alabama game. You will not only see him punish tacklers, but also move piles of defenders for extra yards. Just because he prefers to blow by people instead of running over them most of the time doesn’t mean he is a finesse player. You can have the RB who punishes Safeties all day long; I’ll take the guy who runs around them for touchdowns. Like Grin&Bear it said “Ask LaRon Landry, a hard hitting safety, how skinny his legs are”! The LSU safety said he was the hardest hitting RB he had ever tackled. As a season ticket holder I watched him in person for 3 years. To say whether or not McFadden or A.P. is a better back is purely speculation on ones part, but you haters spit it out as if it were fact (which reminds me of the ESPN commercial of guys talking sports out of their a$$es, like TampaBaybishop saying McFadden doesn’t have A.P. speed). With that said McFadden is Bigger and Faster than A.P. and McFadden doesn’t get hurt every year, so If put in the right situation he could also have a very successful rookie season. That’s why I’m praying the Raiders pass on him because they suck and after his rookie season of no blocking all the haters can say see I told you he wasn’t anything like A.P. I don’t like the Jets either, but at least they didn’t waste OL money on an overpaid WR in Javon Walker. What good is a deep threat if the OL can’t block long enough for him to get down field? See Randy Moss.

Tampabay, I am in shock after reading your post, this is the craziest thing I have read all day, first of all, you must have never seen him play, the reason I say this is because you said he is a finesse back, which he's not, second he does not play like Bush at all.

Agreed with 100% johnrcanz. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when someone makes a comment like tampabaybishop, it really takes away any credibility they have. One highlight on TV or catching a glimpse of one game doesnt make anyone an expert on a player. Me making comments on Mike Hart or Mendenhall would be ridiculous because I've only seen Hart play once and I've never seen Mendenhall play.

Just stick to what you know and try to keep your mouth shut when you have to just make up stuff to sound like you know something.

For those WHO HAVE NEVER seen DMAC run through a tackle or get an extra 7yards with 5 guys on your back, check out :26 and :50 of link below. This was the first video I pulled up on youtube and there are plenty more there to see for the people that need to be educated on the beast that is Run DMC.

I've seen A.P. in person and I think he might be the best RB I've ever seen.  Balance, speed, power and elusive as a mofo.  Mcfaggity? I haven't seen him in person but on tape he looks like he runs a little top heavy.  I'm sure he will be a good player. But anutha AP? No way.

Grin & Bear it, abslutly no disagreement of sweetness being physical, in fact my favorite player growing up. I was refering to him in stature as he was only 5'10 not the 6'2 230 player.  He would be one agressive back that did last a while, but he was a freak of nature.

John, I don't hate the kid I just call em like I see em and I can see him being a specialty back but never a load carrier.  When I watched him play, which was about 6-7 games over the past 2 seasons, I saw a finesse runner who played outside the tackles.  If I am wrong so be it but I highly doubt it!!!!  I would personally draft Felix Jones later and pay him several million less for what will probably be more production when you factor in the return game.  I will say again, regardless of how good you think McFadden is, he is NOTHING like AD.  They have completely different styles.  AD's style is suited for the NFL.

And being a homer takes away some of your credibility!!!

One highlight on TV or catching a glimpse of one game doesnt make anyone an expert on a player.

You have the wrong guy.  I would never say someone isn't that good if I didn't actually watch them.  It's unfortunate though that you have not seen Mendenhall run though.  That kid has an NFL career ahead of him.

I won't bother looking at your highlights because you can find clips of Reggie Bush breaking tackles too.  You could probably find video of me breaking tackles!!!  I am sorry, you will learn that your boy ain't nearly as good as you think he is!!!!

try to keep your mouth shutI didn't say anything, I typed it genius!!!!

Are you saying that you know more than the scouts and the teams drafting?

Are you saying that the scouts always get it right?

If the things you say are true then why would you say he will be picked 4th or 6th? Shouldn't you say he will be picked in the later rounds if what YOU say is true?

I wouldn't pick this kid any higher than 20th because if you pick a guy in the top 5 he should be able to step on the field everytime your O steps on the field but he will be a specialty player, not an every down back.  I have no control over how Oakland or NY uses their picks!!!!!

Why would he be the heisman runner up 2 years in a row if all of those other people are so much better? Why is he the number 1 over all prospect if so many are better than him?

How many heisman WINNERS have made it big in the NFL lately, much less second runner ups?!!!  Bush will never be a great NFL player and he won one and was 2nd or 3rd the year before.  Athletic ability goes a long way in college!!!!  Heisman means nothing when you step into the league!!!  Carson Palmer is the about the only heisman winner that has had success lately.  You ARKANSAS FANS will learn soon enough.  You just lucky he was as good as he was in college and you got to witness it first hand because his star is as bright right now as it will ever be.  WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting that mcfadden's "backup", who had 1/4 of the team's carries with over 10 per game, averaged 8.7 yards per carry.

i just find that interesting.

I think anyone comparing McFadden to AP right now is crazy.  AP had one of, if not the, best rookie seasons ever by a RB.  How can you expect McFadden to live up to that?

I'm not saying McFadden can't do it, I'm just saying let's see him play a few games in the NFL before crowning his "rear" over AP.  Right now I think any NFL team would take AP over McFadden because he's actually produced in the NFL, while McFadden has only played against college kids.

well ozark if your not gonna say it i will McFadden will NOT be better then Adriaaaaan i agree 100% with tampa, mcfadden is not suited to be an NFL MVP or superstar, hell end up being decent, and Adrian will be tearing it up, hope the Raiders take Mcfadden :-p

D Mac will be a great player in the NFL. For those of you who doubt his abilities, just look at his stats. Arkansas never had a balanced offense. Everyone knew the Hogs were run always and pass only when necessary (which is why we never converted those long 3rd downs there, Coach). Everyone knew that the ball was going to McFadden. and even knowing all of that, most teams still couldn't stop him. and even if they could contain him, his presence on the field made such a HUGE difference. Look at the LSU game last year. The Tigers were so keying on McFadden that Peyton Hillis had a 65 yard TD run. Now, Peyton is good, but he's not that fast. If I had the option to take a guy like D-Mac in the draft, I'd sure as heck take that chance.

Now, I'm not doubting his abilities but I just have a feeling that McFadden is not going to have as much open space in the NFL and after the gets hit a number of times, we're going to see him get injured.  I may be wrong, I just have that feeling...

DUDES - Chester Taylor would have had 2000+ yards by himself with the OFFENSIVE BEEF they get to run behind!!!!!

Peterson is good, but he is only great because the Vikings line is the best around.  They won't be drafting McFad, so he won't be as big a rookie splash.

Nobody gives offensive lines any credit!  Why do you think the Dolphins can't run?  Because their line always sucks.  Why was Marshal Faulk, Priest Holmes, or Larry Johnson great - OFFENSIVE LINEs!!!!  Now Larry Johnson's line is falling apart and he is back down to earth.  Shawn Alexander lost the best run blocking guard in the NFL, and guess what!!!!  He sucked.....

LINEMEN ARE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
