I can't figure out who Love reminds me of.  Which annoys me, because I think he's really good, but not so great that he's without a good comparison (like LeBron).  His being a good, big white guy who can pass reminds me of Brad Miller a little (but not Vlade Divac, who was an excellent passer but looked like a Flintstones character).  But man, I don't think I've ever seen a big pass like Love.  He's almost like a half-court point-center.  Unless there's someone I don't know about, he's the best center in the draft, and would seem to be a top-5 pick.  Hibbert looks like a less-atheltic Brendan Haywood to me--who is a less-athletic Eric Dampier.  All of whom are guys you'd like to have plaing a role on your team, but a top-10 pick?  I'd pass.

I think he said that he patterns his games after Wes Unseld(one his dad's old teammates). Not a bad player to pattern yourself to. I think he'll be a good, consistent player in the NBA.

lack of quickness, no jumping ability, will limit him to be an average at best pro.

I think that Love will be much better than Brad Miller.  I'd say, and mind you that this is a bit of a stretch, Love reminds me of Arvidas Sabonis.  He's got the wide body, he has soft hands, and he can step out and hit the mid range jumper.

What Love doesn't have that Sabonis had, was the killer instinct and the ability to "posterize" defenders.  I wish that Sabonis had come to play in the NBA when he was young.  He'd definitely get a ton more respect and he would be mentioned as one of the best bigs of all time.

Love often reminds me of Larry Bird.  Of course Bird was a forward and a little quicker than Love but the passing ability, the ability to see the whole court, the variety of shots all remind me of Bird.  Of course they said Bird lacked athletic ability too and look how that turned out.  Considering that Love is one year removed from high school, and projecting how Bird would have looked at that age, I would say that Love has tremendous potential on top of being a very good player already.

Love is a poor man's Timmy Duncan.  Everything down to his flacid body that is deceiving because Love is actually stronger than he looks.

To be good in the pros though, Love has to work on his post moves and a little on his footwork.  Ive seen plenty of UCLA games and most his points come from garbage buckets.  Maybe thats his game, and he'll never be a scorer but if he wants to be that scorer he must develop some stronger post moves or a mid range jumper.
