no surprise that Boylan was let go today. But who do you think Pax will turn to run this underachieving team?

Some candidates that come to mind are, ex-Hornets coach Paul Silas, ex-Pacer/Piston coach Rick Carlisle, there is a team that has contacted the 76ers executive vice-president in Larry Brown, ex-Pistons/Phily coach, but some have said he has proven he can not coach a young team.  A new possibility may occur in which Dallas coach Avery Johnson. If Dallas loses in the first round this year to the 2nd seeded Hornets, could his time be up?  Ex-Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy might get consideration.  Scott Skiles reportedly is about to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks as the new head coach.  Could Scottie Pippen get a call, maybe as an assistant?  and what if GM Paxson decided to name himself head coach, it is possible, after all he is the most familiar with this team that he assembled.  If I had to bet, I would say Rick Carlisle, but I wouldn't bet much on that. We'll see.

I agree with you Craze - Rick Carlisle - but bottom line, none of those guys could make the current roster work.  Major overhaul needs to be done, so you pick a guy whos coaching style will gel with the direction you plan on taking this team (which is hopefully the right direction)

weisguy927,

Do you really want Larry Brown? The guy is a walking pain in the a$$. Yes, he's a good coach, but he drives everyone crazy, including management, and then he usually quits before the job is done. I'm sorry, but no thank you. I'll take Rick Carlisle. Or, how about John Paxson? He seems to think a lot of this crappy roster. Why not coach out the year and see what happens. Then, when all of it fails, he can go away too.
