Right there is the unique ludicrousness of college football. I mean, you didn't hear at the start of the baseball season that so-and-so is an MVP or Cy Young candidate, and there's none of the week-by-week silliness saying, e.g., David Ortiz has had a bad two weeks, he can't possibly win the MVP; or C.C. Sabathia's had a couple of bad starts , he can't possibly win the Cy Young Award. Talk of awards really doesn't start until mid-season and everyone actually pays attention to how everyone is playing, not just how the 'recognized 'pre-season candidates are playing. What if such sanity was introduced to college football? Not likely, with the ESPN hype machine operating 24/7.

Illinois has gone from the culture of winning to the culture of losing. The fundamentals, the X's and O's are there, but the confidence of the players is lacking and Weber can't motivate them. Let's face it, the motivation for that great team to win came from Dee and Deron, and not from Weber. We need anohter leader and I just don't see one on the team.

Roy needs to be more aggressive, call those time-outs and make em count...when they were down 12 points in the first half to kansas...why oh why did you just sit there looking stunned?
What else was he going to do when a much better team was kicking the crap out of his team? I told you the Big XII rocked this year but you didn't want to listen.

Memphis.... it's gonna be very hard to find fault with this team. With the exception of about 2 1/2 minutes of the entire season I think Memphis was the best team in the nation. Not sure any other team can make that comment. Realistically Memphis was 5 points from an undefeated season. No question the only team that can say that one. Kansas is still number one but not by much.

I want you to say what you have been thinking about your squad, but didn't say it because it is negativeI am pretty sure I made it a point all season long to say OkSt sucks. If it wasn't for the KU win at home, I was debating boycotting my alma mater to route for Maine hockey after the Oral Roberts beat down at home by 18.

Western sucks every way possible.
Actually Manny, in both Women's and Men's basketball, they have credentials that the majority of major schools do not have. The Women have been to three Final 4's, 1 final, and countless NCAA tournament appearences and the men have 20 NCAA tournament appearences, 3 sweet 16's, and 1 Final 4 to their name.
Also, not that this matters, but the Western men's football team (DIV 1AA) also has a NCAA football national championship title as well.
Sure, Western doesn't stack up to many schools in terms of history, but arguably, they are far from sucking.

If Tyler comes back next year, he needs to learn how to pass out of the double/triple team.
Roy really does need to learn how to use timeouts and substitutions wisely.

I wish Roy would be more receptive to changing his gameplan when it is not working.I've talked to many other fans who fell his stubborness has cost him games at times.
Also,I understand the need for substitution(fresh players,off/def etc)but many times he makes a substitution when the players on the floor are just finding a groove.If everyone stays(I hope they do) this will be even harder for him to get everyone playing time.
Hard to criticize B.Davis after only one season,but we need to see some major bowl games and not lose to teams like ECU!
