Thornton's determination pays off with a beautiful win.
And Newfoundland -born Ryan Clowe plays some more amazing hockey!
Can't ask for much more from the Sharks!

Totally agree with you. A great comeback victory on foreign ice is twice as nice. I had a feeling things would come around as the Sharks controlled much of the play throughout the game. It was nice to see a couple of shots finally make it into the net.
Now they go back for the tank for a big one Thursday night.
GO SHARKS!!

10 shots! that is the most ubsurdly low shot total i've ever heard of! that shot total is only decent if its over one period. anyway, good game Sharks. still a long way to go. definitely not close to the way the sharks played for most of the regular season. i wonder what they'd look like if they actually stepped it up for the post season.
i am not even a little surprised by clowe's performance. this is exactly what i knew he always could do and certainly expected it from him. i have no doubt that he could be an all star player in the future.
for most of this game, the bounces went calgary's way. even when the sharks worked hard for over a minute in the offensive zone and drew an icing call from a desperation clear by the Flames, sticking the tired flames unit out on the ice. but, of course, there happens to be a commercial break, giving the flames plenty of time to recuperate. but the sharks battled through that stuff and regained home ice advantage. someone said the flames would sweep at home, well that is pretty wishful thinking against a team that has a road record better than the the best home record in the league.

Great comeback win for the Sharks to even the series. I've been waiting for Setoguchi's debut and was not let down. He's got so much energy and created two great scoring chances after stealing the puck in the offensive zone. I hope Marcel Goc gets some ice time now in the return to San Jose. JR looks like he is in need of a night off.

Wow. Just...wow. The Sharks could have been dead in the water (pun intended) but came out and showed the grit to even this series back up. 10 shots is a decent total...for a period. That's just ridiculous for a game. Nice to see Joe Thornton come through in the clutch. I was a fan of his when he was in Boston, and have been disappointed at his postseason troubles. But this kind of game can turn a lot of things around. I look for the Sharks to play with a lot of passion and determination back home in game 5. The Flames will need to muster a few more than 10 shots to have any prayer.

Yeeaaahhh!
That has got to be one of the most exciting finishes I've seen. It all started when Marleau worked hard for a breakaway/steal shot on goal with about 7:30 to go. That started the engine, then Murray had a nice hit that got the rest of the momentum going capping in Cheech netting a remarkable shot from the corner. Thanks Calgary for the good show as always!
Shelley didn't "dig" his stick into Kipper, he mildly slashed him, Kipper didn't hit the ice, he just buckled his knees a bit. Get it right Mr. Paid Sports Writer.

10 shots on goal is unacceptable, especially on home ice. It was nice to see Joe Thornton get the game winner. He gets a lot of criticism for not scoring enough goals, which I don't get because he's been a pass first guy for years, but netting the game winner to tie the series at two is a nice way to get your first of the playoffs.

I'm still surprised the Sharks even allowed so much as 2 goals... an 80% save percentage isnt particularly good...
nevertheless, I'll take it.
Finally glad to see the sharks' amazing play on the road pay off. Hopefully this game is a reversal of fortune on what has happened to the sharks the last 3 times out.. (2004, lost momentum vs. Calgary... lost the series, 2006 lost momentum vs. Edmonton, lost the series... last year, lost momentum vs. Det, lost the series)
Hopefully this regaining of the big MO is enough to spark a serious run. I know the sharks have all the tools in stock to do it. Having Clowe step it up, as well as Cheechoo netting his first of the PO, and Thornton obviously stepping it up today may just be they momentum they need. The sharks have the chemistry alive right now, and I think if the sharks are get through Kipper 2 more times, they will be able to dominate other teams with their ridiculus shot totals like they did over their 11 game streak...
Any team that is able to allow only 10 shots to an offense with Iginla on it should be stoked
Game 5 is at home, where SJ now has the home ice advantage again. Hopefully when SJ comes back to the giant saddle in the north, they can have similar success here..
