Are you trying to say I can't have a double-standard? Who are you to tell me to quit being a hypocrite?

Not saying that at all because it would be hypocritical of me. Hey, life looks good through my pinstriped glasses

What about Jimmy Hoffa? How come no one wants to dig him out of Giants Stadium? Or are they planning a dig after the Giants and Jets move into their second New Jersey stadium?

I hate both of these teams and their fans but have to admitt this story is hilarious. Except for the Steinbrenner sue garbage. I mean c'mon this is what makes this rivalry great, total hatred and bitterness over every little thing. I don't blame the construction worker. He saw his shot to be part of the rivalry lore and went for it.  I'd except any diehard with a chance to do something kinda funny to do the same. I just love that the two teams in baseball that buy and out spend everyone, accuse each other of the things they are both guilty of. Now go ahead and click my profile and see that I'm a Rays fan and make some off hand comment like "Rays suck" "Loser franchise", whatever. The fact of the matter is the Rays are a solid club this year and it just got a lot harder for one of these teams if not both to make playoff runs on a yearly basis. Until there is a salary cap the Rays will have to do the Oakland and Twins model of get a ton of your farm system talent, add a vet or two, and have a 3 year run hoping to make itbefore everyone becomes a free agent. Now all I'm waiting for is for besides for the next rays vs. sox or ray vs. yanks series, is for Kazmir to come back and bean Shelly Duncan in the face! Then Hank Stienbrenner can try and sue the Rays too.

The Red Sox are fifth in salary this year, according to the AP. So, there are four teams outspending the Sox, including the Yankees, who probably will have a hold on No. 1 so long as A-Rod is being ridiculously overpaid into his mid-40s.

Should have left it burried.  It had Ortiz' name on the shirt, and he is performing miserably thus far.  Maybe they inadvertently jinxed him.

all of this hoopla over a buried ortiz jersey...maybe we shouldve kept it down there since Big Papi practically is buried so far this season. It looks to me like a foolish Red Sox fan wanted to be funny or maybe gain his 15 minutes of fame by doing this. All i know is that a Yankee fan wouldnt waste a Yanks jersey by burying it under the next (if ever) Red Sox ballpark. Its really immature to have done that. Id sue the worker as well not only for screwing up the building process but for being a retarded Red Sox fan...o wait they all are.

Most bo sox fans care about are the past 6 yrs and how theyve won 2 championships...yet when a Yankee fan wants to talk about 96, 98,99, 2000 we get the whole "stop living in the past" when really the red sox fans are the ones that do it. Yea Yankee fans take pride in the 26 world championships and the most people around today can say they saw the Yanks win in the 50s  to present. I guess you cant really say about the Red Sox though, pretty much everyone reading this was around 6 yrs ago so to me, its a lack of history, one that makes Red Sox fans jealous, which is why they would love to "jynx" and how they love bash the Yankees and the ownership when they themselves have one of the worst owners in baseball...Epstein is the man that made the Sox who they are today..all John Henry did was open up his wallet

This is hilarious. They are going to donate it to charity. You have to love the Steinbrenners. In response to our "$1.3 BILLION project," the stadium is for New York. The Mets are getting one too, and how the Yanks spend their money shouldn't be of concern to anyone else. At the same time, no need to sue the worker, it was humorous.

Yankee Trash Loser Scum-Brenner's.  Soprano-wanna be "How you Doin's?, Fughettaboutit's".

I'm so happy that Mets and Red Sox fan can band up against this garbage together and help put a stop to the Empire of Darkness.

Hank Steinbrenner said that it is going to take more than that David Ortiz Jersey, buried in the Cement, to curse the Yankees?  Or who was it that said that?  Well I got news for you, as of next year, the Yankees will be "Forever Cursed".

Considering the fact that they are going to take down "The House That Ruth Built", is reason enough to believe that the Yankees will be Hexed for as long as are still playing Baseball.  The Bambino's Spirit is still "Alive and Kicking", and Yankee Stadium was Babe Ruth's House.

Memo to the Big Mouth(Hank Steinbrenner), first of all, the Earth will never, and I mean never, return to it's Axis, meaning that the Yankees will resume to their Dominant ways.  Am I not correct in my assumption?  That is the reason why we have Global Warning today, because the Earth has taken such a huge drop to another angle that it's going to take a long, long time for it to return to it's proper balance.

And also, George Jr., if you take down The Babe's House, he is going to haunt you, for the rest of your Yankee years that you will continue to be living.  I don't know who's Idea it was to take down "The House That Ruth Built", but let me tell you this,  Fenway Park was built in 1912, and it will never, ever be taken down for the next 100 years, or longer.  It's O.K., if the Bambino needs another House to go to, Fenway Park will welcome the Bambino with Open Arms.

Because as far as I'm concerned, Fenway Park will always be Babe Ruth's Home.

so who gives a rats ass ? all I see mostly are comments by Red(expletive deleted)Sox fans. The Yanks should have left that shirt in there they have won 26 W.S. compared to the (expletive deleted) Sox I think they've buried them in the record books.

It was a Big Papi jersey that was buried, huh?  Now that they dug it up maybe he'll actually be able to hit the ball.

Oh, so it's 26 rings. I was wondering how many WS titles the Yankees have. Their fans never mention them.

I'd say that this would solely depend on how superstitious the Admiral is and if that is in question then i could see it being a problem. some sports enthusiasts have crazy beliefs, especially when it comes to baseball. curse? no. but is there a doubt in his head, that he indeed does have the best team in baseball? in today's game you can take all the luck you can get. lol. any crazy pre-game antics that you've heard of?

Amen To That!

I'm a Red Sox Fan, and I do have Mets Fans for friends, and yes, we hate those Yankees more than life itself!  In fact, I have a Young Friend for a Met Fan who had to change schools because of the constant harrassment he was getting from Yankee Fans in his school.
