So this is my early april mock draft , I am not including Kevin Love or Tyler Hansbrough yet that may be my next mock , I am also not including the other two of the USC three Davon Jefferson or Taj Gibson .

I also want your input and would love your mock draft in reply to mine

1.Miami Derrick Rose

He's been compared to Dwayne Wade and Jason Kidd , I think despite the title game loss he'd go one to LA Clippers Miami Minnesota and maybe Chicago because each needs a solid back court option . Here I have him going to the Heat in a nightmare backcourt with D-Wade , Anyhow as good a Beasley is Rose is a better fit and a more dire need for the Heat

2.Oklahoma  Michael Beasley

Wow Kevin Durant's buddy is way better and bigger , But can he maintain his focus and maybe develop a mean streak ???  If he does he's a thirty and ten man  In this scenario he's paired with his buddy Durant in what one might call a nightmare frontcourt . If D-Rose and D-Wade are wicked together imagine Durant and B-Easy together .

3.Minnesota Brook Lopez

Lopez is Brad Daughtery all over again , For those of you who don't remember the former Cav and Tar Heel , He was a 7 footer with great hands great handle and a solid dish . Had a great mid range shot . That's Brook and he actually would be perfect next to Big Al in Minnesota .

4.Memphis DeAndre Jordan

The next Amare or Chris Bosh , The next Dwight Howard or the next bust ? I think in Memphis he could take over at the four and be a solid fit next to Rudy Gay and wouldn't slow the tempo .

5.New York Jerryd Bayless

I think though he is more of a Jason Terry type he'd be ok in New York with Crawford (Assuming he isn't traded ) able to handle some of the point duties ,

6.LA Clippers OJ Mayo USC

He was supposed to be the next big thing , I'm not sure I agree or disagree , But the Clippers need a combo with his skills with Livingston's future in the air and Mobley a bit old .

7.Milwaukee Danilo Gallanari

Gallanari is a typical Euro player a great drive and draw player who has a solid mid range shot and great instincts . Milwaukee needs a small forward with his skils  to displace brittle Bobby Simmons and smallish Desmond Mason

8.Charlotte Anthony Randolph

I wonder if he is not Jared Jefferies all over again , I need to do so more research on Randolph , But what I've read is he's an elite shot blocker and rebounder with amazing quickness and vertical leap , Well Charlotte may lose Okafor though with a weak market I doubt it , Randolph would be a wise investment here and a small risk .

9.Chicago Russell Westbrook

Westbrook would an ideal fit for a rebuilding Chicago team that probably will lose Ben Gordon and Chris Duhon to free agency .

10.New Jersey Marreese Speights

Speights is another pick up in Jersey's search for the perfect big , Kristic may be let go in FA , And who know if Sean Williams can keep it on the level , So Speights makes a lot of sense

11.Indiana Eric Gordon

Gordon is listed at 6-4 , But is closer to to 6-2 , A bit small but he has Ben Gordon skills and long arms so he makes up for it , Could be the new go to guy for Indiana and a home town hero to sell tickets , I think in this deep draft and with his bad last two weeks he could slip , No way Indy misses him unless they get a top three pick

12.Sacramento JaVale McGhee

JaVale isn't a power forward and yes they took Hawes last year , But McGhee has the tools Sacto wants in a center and maybe could pair well with Hawes as twin towers .

13.Portland Donte Greene

Portland will probably trade this pick with a loaded roster and the rush to acquire Rudy Fernandez . But if they keep it they'd have to look hard at Greene or Joe Alexander .

14.Golden St . Robin Lopez

Robin is the tougher of the two Lopez twins and is often overlooked because of his brother .  He is more of a defensive pre3sence then offense like his brother . Golden St. could use a 7 foot shot blocker esp. with Biedrins a free agent

15.Phoenix Chase Buddinger

Hometown star that fills a need with an aging Grant Hill , Buddinger is an athelete learning basketball , But he is impressive and would fit in well with the Fun and Gun Suns .

16.Toronto Serge Ibaka

Think Shawn Kemp with Dwight Howard hops , Thats Ibaka and lets be stright he is only 18 if I read right and that means he has plenty of upside .

17.Philadelphia Darren Collison

OK so Rose torched him , But he is known as a tough nosed slasher and defender anyhow and with Miller under contract for one more season a good insurance policy .

18. Washington Roy Hibbert

A slow dinosuar that may no longer fit into the NBA , Hibbert is a Mutombo clone complete with shot blocking and short hook . I think Washington would love Hibbert down low .

19.Cleveland Joe Alexander

What I've seen on tv and youtube is that Alexander is Wally Szczerbiak all over again . He has an solid three point shot is a bulldog going to the hoop .

20.Denver Darrell Arthur

Supposed to Kenyon Martin or Antonio McDyess , Lets hope he's healthier then those two , Still Denver could use another post option with Camby's age Martin's injuries and Nene's ........ nevermind

21.New Jersey Chris Douglas Roberts

CDR is a perfect fit as combo third guard off the bench , Is smart and can score in a variety of ways , Has awesome court vision and until D-Rose was the Memphis point guard

22.Orlando Earl Clark

What I know of him is that he a Danny Granger type of prototypical small forward . Good handle and shot with long arms and plays tough defense

23.Utah Nicolas Batum

Multi purpose combo forward in the Boris Diaw mold , Would be nice replacement for Andrei Kirilenko .

24. Oklahoma  Ty Lawson

Why the smallish Lawson when you have Ridnour and Watson  . Well seems like Watson and Ridnour may be traded and honestly Lawson is a winner and a true floor general which Watson isn't and healthy which Ridnour struggles with .

25.Houston Hasheem Thabeet

Yao has brittle feet Mutombo is a hundred years old and even though is light years away on offense , He is more then enough on defense wit his 7-3 frame and decent quickness for his size .

26.San Antonio Pat Calthes

Calathes had a great game one in Portsmouth and seems to be a perfect clone of Mike Dunleavy Jr. . A 6-10 forward with a high basketball iq a handle and a solid shot . May be a sleeper and a rising star

27.Memphis Brandon Rush

Rush was a star in helping to lead the JayHawks to the title , He stepped up when it mattered and may played himself into the first round .

28.New Orleans Courtney Lee

Lee is a bit inconsistent , But has NBA range and is tough as nails .

29.Detroit Joey Doresy

I think that Doresy is another Ben Wallace in that he doesn't have much in the offensive department , But he is an amazing shot blocker and rebounder . The typical Detroit pick .

30.Boston Mario Chalmers

Chalmers is the hero of the Kansas title run , Chalmer maybe a smallish Sam Cassell and would be a good back up to Rajon Rondo .

Well That is mock 2 for me and I am off to do some research will post another in a week or two after portsmouth , Antoher thing real quick Jason Richards had a great first day and so did Jiri Hubalek . For more Portsmouth check out Draftexpress.com

Well thought out.  I will take issue with Robin Lopez at 14.  If your argument for him is his defensive ability, I can't imagine him going that far ahead of Joey Dorsey.  Sure, Dorsey has some attitude issues (real or perceived), but come on, this is the NBA we're talking about.

For all those out there saying O.J. Mayo isn't ready, I say nonsense...he's ready right NOW to be the next Larry Hughes.

my take is Robin will woo teams in the private workouts with his toughness and his size . I agree with the statement on Mayo I wonder if he's tough enough to battle it out with the NBA's elite or not
