This seems to be the year of stupid is as stupid does. How many kids will think they are ready for the plunge into the NBA? No way this kid is ready. One year of being a stud is not enough, one more year of ripping it up would help him more than any one!!!!!

It's not a matter of being ready for the NBA. It's all a matter of when your draft value would be highest. With Alexender he would be better off waiting a year. His draft value will be at the bottom of the 1st round if he comes out now. There is too much competition this year and he has not proved his ability for a very long duration. He is a potential lottery selection if has another good year and enters the draft in 2009.

Sometimes it's better for players to leave early rather than risk the hype not being there the next time around (Roy Hibbert). But with Alexender there is no lottery hype right now, but there could be next year.

Bad move on his part.

He's declared himself available for the NBA draft but he hasn't signed with an agent so he's still NCAA eligible. My bet is he's just testing it out to see where he stands and he'll be back next year.  Much to the dismay of the Big East and all Mountaineer opponents! Next year will be the better year for him to be drafted. Right now he's projected somewhat low but I think he just wants to see where he stands. I agree he needs one more year. Bob Huggins has just begun to tap into Joe Alexander's talent. Now Joe needs to play strong an entire season to show his stuff.

There's no doubt he needs another year at the collegiate level.  He made incredible progress during the year, but not enough to warrant skipping his senior year.  Another 10-15 pounds, and he's gonna be tough to stop.

On the selfish level, I'd like to see him at WVU for another season. It'll be a lean year without him.

Joe's not going anywhere except to get some NBA Intel and find out from the Pros on what they see him needing to improve.  Pittsnogle did the same thing his Jr. year.

Smart move by Joe but nothing to worry about here as he'll be back.

I just got done predicting that he would dominate the Big East next season.

He's a smart kid though, I think he'll go to the camps, play against some of the studs and see what he needs to work on like others said.

No doubt he'll make a roster one day, but this year is not the year

too many bodies going out there, most of which don't need to be.

Your point might carry more weight if you would learn correct grammar.

Are you an educated person or do you just play one on the internet?
