Man, I feel bad for this guy because he once had such a promising NCAA career.  But unfortunately,  he'll probably join the droves of NBA busts from the SEC.

Or join the LONG list of Alabama players who decide to leave early and don't get drafted or get dropped from the NBA team shortly there after. I still can't figure out why some of those players made the stupid decision that they did.

Fortunately for Bama, Steele is a pretty intelligent guy. I think he'll be back next year. He is probably just "testing the waters" and also letting all the scouts out there know that he is back and can still play. I don't think anyone would be willing to take much of a chance on him right now anyway-- they'll probably want to see him play a full season next year to show that his knees really are better.

Richard Hendrix is another story altogether. Once again though, fortunately for Bama, there are a LOT of Big Men coming out this year and will hopefully push his stock down enough to where he would come back.

It would be great to have 3 Alabama players drafted in the first and early second rounds next year in Steele, Hendrix, and Alonzo Gee.

I don't think he will count as a bust because most likely will not be drafted after having knee issues in both knees

I think both Steele and Hendrix will be back.  They are getting familiar with the NBA draft process and what it will take to raise their draft position for next year.  If they do both come back, Alabama should contend for the SEC.
