nhl.com is now in my bookmarks.

I'm in an area where hockey isn't considered top shelf, so this is nice.

and it costs how much, exactly?

...Hmmmm?  Seriously, NHL, how much?

I ask because I paid for CenterIce this year and then, after the season started, the so-called "NHL Network," which is really just old games from the 70's and 80's, poached a bunch of regular season games without notice.  So, I would flip on the game, only to find that, randomly and without warning, it was on NHL Network, not CenterIce.  And NHL Network is a separate, pay service that doesn't come with CenterIce.

Niiiiiice.

We'll see how this internet endeavor works, but my guess is that the NHL is as clueless about "the tubes" as it is about everything else.

I'm still waiting for my refund from the NHL for the 20 or so games it stole from CenterIce subscribers like me this year.  Maybe I can watch old highlights of those games on NHL.com..that would be so sweet...I mean, LAME!

Thats too bad you got screwed out of the NHL network.

I subscribe to Center Ice as well - and my cable company included NHL network to me as a subscriber.

The NHL network is the best sport-specific channel I have seen.  It is way more than vintage games.  It has lots of different Top 10 shows, daily live NHL news shows, in depth player profiles and the most complete wrap up of games every night.  And they frequently partner with TSN (out of Canada) to bring lots and lots of hockey content.

I hope the web site upgrades match the quality of the network.
