Great game tonight. The Wild played hard and smart and won the division. That is something we have all been waitng for.

Shoutouts to Marion Gaborik 2 goals(3), Todd Fedorik played well with a goal. Special shoutout Kim Johnnson and the defense as a whole. I'm glad we didn't cut him this year.

i thought that was one of the worst officiated games all season. Granted they couldn't call every penalty the Flames took or the Wild would have been on the power play all night, but do you have to call make up cheapies against us? I'm worried that physical teams get away with more, and will get away with more in the playoffs. Enough complaining.

This is great day for Wild fans. Congrats to all. GO WILD.

Lets just hope we don't have to face the Flames again.

The awkward thing is if the Wild lose to the Avs on sunday they'll probably play them again in the playoffs.  If the Wild win and the Flames win those two teams will meet.

I'm not too concerned with who we play after the game tonight-- the team played well and proved we can beat the Flames.  We'll more than likely have to play san Jose or Detroit eventually anyway, so let's just focus on our team and take care of business!

Northwest Division champs!  Go Wild!

This is definitely one of the best nights in Wild's franchise! I witnessed the whole game on TV against Calgary. Wild played really well. NW DIvision Champs! Congratulations Wild. Go Wild!

From a witness at the game, it was just as good live as I'm sure it looked on TV.   For two years now I've been itching to see Burns & Phaneuf go at it, and tonight, finally.  I hope to see those two brawl for many years to come, and I REALLY hope Burns adds some scars on Dion's pretty face (  <-- that's what my wife says).

The X was so loud for each goal, the fight, and the final 3 minutes - it was crazy.  And hardly any fans left at the end, they all stuck around for like 10 minutes while the players threw pucks over the glass, etc, chanting "Let's go Wild".

Is there anything better than playoff hockey.

I'm sure the Wild will send in the B team and their game plan will be - don't get hurt on Sunday and I would guess that Colorado will be playing their regulars.  Colorado most likely won't get a higher seed than 6 but if they lose they could fall and I'm guessing the Avs would rather play MN than SJ or Detroit.  I can see guys like Rolston, Demitra, Gaborik, Backstrom sitting out.

Yeah, I would guess they will sit some players to prevent injury and just to rest for the playoffs.  The goalie though is a hard call.  Do you rest Backstrom as to not risk him injuring himself or do you play him not wanting to mess with his hot streak?  It might not be a bad idea to play him a period and then let Harding have 40 min to knock some rust off being he has not played in some time.  I do think they need to sit their big guys on offense and let Peuliot and others play big minutes.  I myself would like to see the Wild play the Flames in the first round.  The Flames have had their number for years but the tide has turned and last night was just the starting point.  Go Wild!!!

That doesn't sound awkward at all -- sounds like great strategy (cough, cough, wink, wink, nudge:)  If the Wild play like they did last night, it won't matter who we get in the first round, but getting the Avalanche or the Canucks in the first round would do wonders for the confidence factor.

Last night's game was a fine exclamation point to the regular season.  We couldn't possibly have done it without Martin Skoula or Kim Johnsson.  GO WILD!!!

I think the only team I wouldn't like to see in the first round is Calgary.  The Wild have played well against both San Jose & Detroit.  I would love a rematch of the Wild Avalanche series with Brunette on the other side.  The other great match up would be Wild - Stars.  That being said, I never like when teams tank games to set them selves up with an "easier" matchup.  Just play the game and let the other teams worry about match ups.
