Remember when it was Peyton Manning vs. Ryan Leaf? Who would you take No. 1 overall? Remember when the interviews came out, and asked what each would do if they were picked first overall? Manning's answer was very mature, something the affect of he'd get things in order to go to the team's facility and start learning the franchise inside and out. Leaf's answer was that he's going to throw a big party. If I'm not mistaken, Prisco was a HUGE Leaf supporter.
Prisco has a thing against Vince Young, not real sure why. The guy wins, he's brought back to life a down and out franchise in only his second season, he's earned his way onto the playing field as a rookie, and has shown maturity well beyond his age in being able to handle a full schedule since being drafted.
Leinart acts as if everything is entitled to him. Kurt Warner had a monster year last year, and yet Leinart was upset that he got pulled. Well.....maybe he should have performed on the field. He's certainly got the offensive weapons in Arizona that would have allowed him to wow people with impressive stats. There was a reason the Titans didn't take Leinart when Norm Chow was their Offensive Coordinator. Who better to give Leinart a ringing endorsement to become the team's next franchise passer than his former coach. Chow knew back then about Leinart, he was basically hidden in a high octane offense with a ton of talent.
I honestly look at Pete Prisco as the journalist's version of Isiah Thomas........is he actually TRYING to get fired by writing this kind of 1st grade article over and over and over?

Don't ever compare Leinart to Ryan Leaf. He is a good citizen who's biggest issue is that he bangs out a lot of hot chicks. He isn't some crybaby idiot who blows up on the sidelines and insults his team.
I am not a Cards fan, who is, but I understand his frustration with his team. All Leinart said was if he is THE GUY let him play thru some bad games and try to get some flow. Leinart is a good qb who will be successful and so is Vince Young. Quit with your lame comparisons and get a clue.

Titans4Life......I didn't even pay attention....is this really another Prisco article? I cannot believe that he is still getting paid....maybe his job is to create controversy. He is the Matt Leinart amongst columnists. He tends to really like those guys that have his personality, you know, the really pompous, arrogant, entitled-type. Leinart, Manning and Leaf are all very good examples. There is no question who's bandwagon he's on....Manning! Yet, Leinhart has no chance of every beating Peyton while Vince probably has the second best head-to-head record against him behind Brady. Speaking of which, I think Brady and Vince are just a little too cool for Prisco........Prisco needs a wardrobe overhaul, I can only imagine how bad his wedgies are day-to-day. Typical non-athlete, pompous, know-it-all nerd.....

I notice a lot of Prisco bashing on these threads. That's cool, but I find it funny that it's personal bashing against Prisco rather thanarguing his point...WHICH IS 100% CORRECT by the way on this issue.

As hard as it is to agree with Prisco's point...He is right. Any coach who was giving the situation without names would choose the QB who is there practicing everyday with his teammates. Out of curiosity did anyone here have or go to a party to watch NCAA basketball games? Because though Leinart may be a NFL QB he is still a 25 year old guy, albeit with more media attention.

And yes Prisco's job is to create controversy and keep people like us writing on CBS message boards. Thats what makes the website run. If he wrote articles that didn't create controversy he wouldn't be doing his job.

Hey Titans4Life, if Prisco is such an idiot, why have you been reading his articles for 10 years? It's worse than that--you remember an article he wrote ten years ago, and you remember his opinion from that article. Can you say "STALKER"?

He forgot to mention Tony Romo going to Mexico with Jessica Simpson. Prisco should be writing for Us Weekly.
I bet Leinart and Young are really doing the same thing in the offseason anyway. Vince is a living legend in Austin. While hes there his teachers are still giving him passing grades for nothing and he is still banging all the white chicks he can handle. Its like he never left college...
