How bout the 89ers?

Didn't there used to be a minor league basball team named the 89ers that everyone misses? I'm kind of new to OKC so I don't know.

The 89ers was the name of the triple A team and they played under that name at the fairgrounds for decades.  When they moved to Bricktown they just changed the name to the Redhawks, for all I know they still own some kind of rights to it.  It's too associated with Baseball.

Whatever ozarkhick I know the only reason your able to get the internet is because you have a public library nearby with some of those fancy "word books" as you call them. Im sure your sitting there typing this in a beer stained wife beater with your shotgun nearby while your cousin Mary Joe Sue is back in the trailer cooking up some flapjacks for dinner.... fatty....

By the way Seattlite is correct, A satellite is one of those fancy space machines Pa probably read to you about in a pop up picture book.....

That was me...and I believe the correct term was "Bullet Eaters", which I apologized for.  If you remember right, I used Bullet Eater in response to Cow Patties, but by the reaction of the Seattle boys, you would have thought I started the whole thing.
