I have seen this kid is three tourney games...I bet you those ACC schools are a bit ticked they passed on him...especially the [one] school that offered him a scholarship (if he played without one his Freshman year). Watch out Kansas or 'Nova. This kid just lit up the best team defense in the nation.
I'm a huge Wisconsin fan and after watching this game i think Davidson is going to the Final Four if not further on the shoulders of Stephen Curry. If Michael Flowers can't stop him, no one can. This kid is rediculizing defenses across the nation and now I will be rooting him on with many others. Great season Wisconsin.
You are right! Curry, and Davidson, are the real deal!! They will be playing Kansas for a shot to go to the Final Four! I'll post in the next Memphis kills MSU story, but I cannot believe both Big Ten schools got handed such dominating losses! Memphis looked like they could be challenged, but instead made Michigan State look foolish. Tonight was a sorry night for the Big Ten, and I ashamed to call myself a Spartan fan right now!! Good luck Davidson against a very strong-looking Kansas team!
Brewerfan and Weezy... Appreciate the class from both of you-not often you hear those type compliments from fans of the team that just got beaten. Wish more fans could represent that way!
As for all the critics that kept whining that North Carolina had played Nobody this year- How does it feel to have played Nobody as well, and lost??
If I wasn't a lifetime Tar Heel fan, I'd have to jump on the Davidson bandwagon. Gotta love the underdog! I can only hope they come back to earth before they meet the Heels!!!
I am still in shock over what I saw last night. Davidson took us out of our game and that just doesn't happen. Curry is amazing. With such a quick release he is hard to stop.
I thought the score would be switched, but Davidson played with passion and confidence and WI did not. As a huge Badger fan I tip my hat to the better team and say well played.
To the Badgers I say great season and good luck to the seniors.
Davidson and Xavier have done a wonderful job considering that the NCAA does all it can to eliminate the small schools and mid-majors from the field in the first weekend. Since George Mason made the run to the Final Four CBS with their thug cohorts NCAA attempt to place non-BCS schools against each other in the first round ensuring that half of the small schools are out. Then they place them against tough 2 or 3 seeds in the next round. I for one will always cheer for the little underdog. GO DAVIDSON and GO XAVIER!
Every ACC AD should summon their basketball coaches and ask them to explain why they did not recruit Curry. The VA Tech AD should simply fire Seth Greenberg on the spot!
You sir, are an idiot. Yes, I watched the game. I was at it. Davidson owned Wisconsin in the second half. Curry outscored the entire Wisconsin team in the second half. All I read this week was how Flowers was going to shut him down. Wrong.
For the most part, the Wisconsin fans at the game and on the boards have been very classy and respectful. Sadly, there are idiots like you who are the exception to the rule and cry out that the refs caused the Badgers to lose. It's laughable. You're the only one think thats. You got beat by 17.
Stop drinking the hater-ade and face the reality that tonight the Badgers were never able to get any offense flow in the second half, they turned the ball over 12 times, and were out rebounded by a smaller Davidson team in the second half. When they did go to the free throw line in the second half, they missed. In addition, Davidson shot 9 fewer free throws and were called for 6 more fouls than Wisconsin.
Its just a pleasure to watch Stephen Curry and the Davidson College Wildcats play with such enthusiasm and love of the game. This is what makes the NCAA Tournament the fantastic event it is. At the end of the game, to watch the entire stadium, the WIldcat fans and the Badger fans and the neutral observers, all stand and applaud Curry, and leave the stadium talking about him, made it something to remember.
I saw him play last night vs. Wisconsin he is the real deal!! whether he has enough of a supporting cast around him for a run at the national championship will remain to be seen. But for now I'm a believer.
