Yez Sirze, Kent St is the real deal. Next season they will play and hopefully Terrol Pryor will be on the team so he can be embarresed by a crap school like Kent St. Even then maybe Ohio U will also be the Buckeyes. Life is great, Now that Michigan finaly beat Ohio St at something the tides have turned for the way better. OSU can dig a grave and bring on the Ncaa Implications. That is a real statment ya'll

I'm not ragging on Ohio State. I'm a big fan of them. But honestly, you can't say Ohio State fans didn't have big expectations of this team. Of course, we all knew that they wouldn't be the team they were last year, but we also didn't expect this season to be such a dissapointing one. Ohio State was picked to finish third this year in the Big Ten, and now they are likely to finish 5th or 6th. Kosta Koufos was supposed to be a big time player, yet he has lacked inside prescence and falls in love with the 3 ball. Now on the other hand, OU has 2 post players in Jerome Tillman and Leon Williams.
Now for guards and 3 point shooting, Ohio State has none besides Jamar Butler, who is starting to fall away when he shoots which is causing a lower percentage. Jon Diebler is so inconsistent you can't even consider him a 3 poing prescence. Othello Hunter, who I think is the most underrated player in the Big Ten this year, has been the only hard nosed player who is willing to anything for his team this year. OU comes back from games they are behind in, and OSU either can't keep a lead or they fall behind and stay behind. Next year, OSU will be better with Buford and Mullens, but as of right now, I think the better team right now is OU.

Xavier is a better team than Ohio State, and Kent State MIGHT be but it's pretty close. Those are the only 2 teams better than Ohio State in Ohio. To the guy who had CSU above Ohio State, didn't OSU go to Cleveland State and beat the Vikings by about 20?

HDawg, you should never try to dispell lil'Johnny's delusions with cold hard facts. He will just ignore anything that doesn't fit his agenda.
cavs, I was aiming my rant only at lil'Jonny (aka bigpoppajf.) You seem to be a genuine Ohio U fan, the type that should be embarassed that lil'Johnny chooses to use an OU logo on his favorites. I commend your support of the Bobcats, I may disagree with you on how a game between the schools might go, but it would be an honest disagreement. Lil'Johnny is as likely to spout off that any team you'd care to mention would beat the Bucks just to soothe his poor ego. Case in point, HDawg was absolutely correct: he lists CSU as a team better than Ohio State, yet the Bucks have a higher RPI and beat the snot out of the Vikings in Cleveland. Do you think that better record might be the result of playing an easier schedule?

hahahaha little Johnny.
The funny thing is you have Cleveland State being better than Ohio State, but Ohio State beat the shit out of them 80-63.
Get a life and a brain.

Come now gents the bigskidmark refuses to see the flaws in his arguments always has always will. He is a small minded hypocrite who takes joy in bringing others down rather than supporting his teams. He is a bandwagoner and a small petty miserable little troll of a man who feels so empty inside he has to take feeble potshots at what he has deemed the "Evil Empire" that is Ohio State.
You know what Johnnie, try looking on the bright side of life. You might find letting go of your petty hatred makes you feel a little better. It is afterall the Easter season and a time for renewal. Let go of the hate little johnnie it's alright

How many first round NBA picks did those other teams have? It was always a rebuilding year and a certian player has not played to expectations that many had upon him. I feel for butler who is a true warrior and has played his arse off this year. He deserves to go out in the tourney....

The best basketball team in Ohio isn't Ohio State, it's gotta be Xavier. But then again OSU is loosing to real teams in a year where they lost over 70% of their offense to the NBA (Oden, Conley and Cook). Xavier loosing to St. Joesephs hurt them considerably, and no one else but Dayton and St. Mary's out of the A10 can be taken seriously.

I voted for Xavier what a shocker! The Buckeyes did decent but aren't deserving of a NCAA tourney bid unless they win their conference tournament which isn't going to happen. The Bucks are to inconsistent but are going to be better next year. What did you expect the Bucks to be good after losing two of the best player in Oden and Conley, not to mention Cook! They did decent to finish about .500 in the Big 10. Koufos and Turner are pretty good players, I see both of them moving on to the next level in few years. So all together the Bucks had a decent year and maybee will go far in the NIT.
The Buckeyes would beat everybody you mentioned on the list with the exception of Xavier! The other teams are respectable and would give the Bucks a game for a little while and then lose. I'm suprised the Bucks RPI was around 55 with them playing some of the schools in the Big 10 like Indiana, Wisconsin, Mighigan St, and Purdue. They also played North Carolina, Butler, Syracuse, Tennesee, and Florida. That seems to me as a tough schedule!
