If he can clamp down on Neitzel who never stops moving without the ball, he'll be able to clamp down on Curry.

That doesn't mean Curry is going to be scoring double digits. Hell, he'll probably hit 20. He just won't be the savior in this game. Davidson is going to have to adjust to that.

Oh yeah, GO BIG TEN!

Have Wisconsin in my Final Four. I'd be glad to disrupt my Elite 8 and perhaps Final 4 for the sake of my MSU Spartans if they're able to get past powerful Memphis and Stanford/Texas

The Curry/Neitzel comparison is a good one, but Curry is better.  It won't be just Flowers guarding him either, or at least it better not.  In the end though, I agree with your overall conclusion, Wisconsin will be fine.  After years of underrating them and overrating Pitt, this year I finally got it right.  Wisconsin is in my Elite 8, and I had Pitt getting knocked off by the Oral Roberts.

Curry is the name on the highlight reels, but lets not forget that the rest of Davidson combined for 44 points. Richards dropped 20 on a Georgetown team that has one of the best defenses in the nation. Stars have dropped big numbers on Wisconsin all year, even Nietzel got something like 28 against UW in the Big 10 championship game. For Wisconsin to win, they need to do what Georgetown failed to do... shut down the other Davidson players.

Let me be clear upfront that I am not knocking Wisconsin or Coach Ryan.  Folks do need to recognize that Davidson is not a one man team.  Steph Curry is the best shooting guard in the country.  He's a great guy and he deserves all the accolades.  But he can't score unless someone gets him the ball.  The man who does that, Jason Richards, does the job quietly but may be the best point guard in the country.  He did lead the nation in assists.  He played all 40 minutes against Georgetown, and I don't remember him committing any turnovers.

The frontline rotation (Sander, Lovedale, Meno, and Rositter) is not flamboyant but they get the job done.  Max Paulus-Goselin is the defensive stud.  His offensive numbers didn't look like much in the box score, but consider how many of Georgetown's 20 turnovers he created.

The TV guys may not recognize, but Davidson is a very good team.

I agree with what Fishstick said!  Shut the REST of Davidson down.  It's been what Wisconsin has been doing all year.  Taking out the big scorer, and focusing on playing TEAM DEFENSE!!  It's easy to see why Wisconsin has the lowest point allowed average in the NCAA!  They limit other team's posessions by controlling the clock and by taking good care of the ball...not allowing leak-outs or fast breaks!  Watch any game and you'll hear most announcers remark on how well Wisconsin gets back on D!

Sure they'll let Curry have his 20 or 25.  But the rest of Davidson will not fair so well!

My prediction Wisconsin 75   Davidson 61

Good points Jim in NC, but one of the key points in the win over Georgetown that you mentioned was the 20 TURNOVERS. Wisconsin takes very good care of the ball. So if they can limit Curry just a little bit better than Georgetown did and take much better care of the ball I believe that it will be very difficult for Davidson to pull out a win.

Time will tell. ON WISCONSIN!
