Draft.  Maybe say, 3rd round?  Not another average sized #2 like D.J. Hackett or Bryant Johnson.  They will / should look for size and hands.  None of the projected 1st round guys are guaranteed #1 wide receivers so that would most likely be a wasted pick on a hyped up #2 to go in our #2 wide receiver stable.  OT, OT, OT.  DE, DE, DE.  Safety, Safety, Safety.  Wide Receiver falls to maybe 4th most important on the needs list.  They might bite in the second round just to satisfy the masses.  Can't let the message board people down. (That would be me, us)

i honestly only see one Bryant Johnson as an upgrade over Reggie Brown, and that's a slight upgrade. If Reggie is a 6 (out of 10), i'd call Bryant a 6.25. I'd rather snag one 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round.

Bryant Johnson is easily a 7-8.  I have been eyeing him for a while.  Not sure how he would play as a number one receiver, but definately a strong number two.  We need someone with wheels.

If this is what we have to chose from i say just dont bother. singing any of these guys not gona do us any help might as well stick with Curtis, Brown, Lewis, Basket, Avant.

and hope that somebody has a breakout year (Basket or Avant)

sorry to say i'm starting to lose hope in Brown.

Curtis is a solid # 2 and would kill in the slot (see Welker)  if we had a true #1.

Greg Lewis is my favorite in the group he dont get much play and no recognition but he sure came through for us through the years without really asking for anything in return.

It is sad that when you have to call a no name slot receiver your favorite.

Eagles Please PLease PLEASE!!! get us a #1 Receiver.

wow a 7-8! yeah he's been stuck behind Boldin and Ftiz but still he's not going to any team to be a #1. I save the 8's for guys like Roddy White, Stallworth, Santonio Holmes, or even our own K. Curtis. maybe, top end 6.75... not a 7. S. McDonald, or D. Bowe in his rookie year that's someone in a 7 range.

If anybody thought that Bryant Johnson even resembled a player that could become a number 1 receiver he would have been signed in the first weekend of free agency.  He's still sitting around!  For gods sake, Javon Walker got a blockbuster deal for a guy with chronic knee injuries and a healthy Johnson is sitting at home playing PS3 and probably reading these message boards.  He's probably not even better than Reggie Brown because i think that if Reggie was an unrestricted free agent, that even HE would have been signed by now.  Get off this Bryant Johnson non-sense.  He's just another body that can be a 2 at best.  We don't need that.  Let him go to the Texans or something.

Considering we were in the same boat last year at this time (needing a WR and acquiring a POTENTIAL solution to the D-line in Ian Scott), we find ourselves with another potential diamond in the rough in acquiring Clemons, while losing Kearse (the "Freak" wasn't healthy anyway), I feel a 8-8 season again, sadly. Anyone else get the feeling we are going down the same road that leads to a dead end, again?

I heard Darrell Jackson was released by the Niners...he is a West Coast offense WR being he played in Seattle and SF - this looks like an option now too.

Guarantee Eagles will not get a WR unless its Roy Williams or Anquan Boldin, both in which are stretches at best.
