First You have Vick then another Vick , then Hall. and im sure there are others I cant remember right now....For all the credit Frank Beamer gets as a coach, He sure as heck isnt good with molding young men..He just recruits them and uses em till they leave ..Shame on Mr Beamer, out of 22 starters he has any year you figure 3 at most will go pro..coaching sometimes shouldnt be all about winning, yeah thats good when it happens , but a college coach is there just like any other teacher to help the students, or players in this case , become responsible citizens....

First of all it is not Beamer's place to mold these guys into men.  That should have already been established before these guys arrive at Va Tech.  Role models and molding should be done in the home.  By no means am I condoning the actions of the Vicks' or Hall's arrogance, just stating that Beamer can not be held accountable for everyone or be their father or mother.

hold on here.....every progam has its problem children.  I will give you marcus, but mike and hall are grown men making there own decisions.  and marcus could be argued, since his big bro sent him in freshman year in an escalade and a private condo off campus, so he came into the program with feeling entitled to be above the program.  and beamer suspended him several times, and did not let him get away with much.

Beamer is great coach and has done a whole lot with little.  You need to take a look at his recruiting area,  a majority are coming out of new port news and areas like that.  These are very poor, gang infested, and not a very nice place to live. so these kids have been exposed to a lifestyle for 18 years before they get to beamer.  It is like asking why U of Miami has a bunch of thugs.....easy because they recruit and get athleats out of the city of miami, which is not a great place to grow up either.

I have stated this before, but VT is not on the national sceen as alot of other schools like USC, ND, FSU, MICH, Ohio ST....  Kids dont fly in from texas, cali, Fla... to blacksburg and say this is the place i have to go.  It is a college town, in the middle of nowhere, and it is country.  Sure he will get a kid here and there from other places but it is not the #1 blue chip qb out of California going there....It is the #9 kid from VA that goes there, or the kid from the east out of Pa down through south carolina. He has done alot with his recruiting, and had done a great job overall with some of these kids that he has worked with.  Dont blame him for not being able to change 3 primadonnas once they got a fist full of $$

Yeah, stop trying to blame Beamer and VT for a couple of bad apples.  What about players from other schools?  Tank Johnson hoarding the WMDs, making sure Dubya couldn't find them.  Maurice Clarett dressed to kill in full Navy Seal assault gear, body armor included.  Body armor?  WTF?  Is he involved in international arms sales or something?  What about Pacman "Weatherman" Jones, with high pressure systems following him into strip clubs.

Hate on DeAngelo Hall all you want, but he is nowhere near the level of a Maurice Clarett or a Tank Johnson.  It was clear to all Virginia Tech fans that Hall had some emotional trouble on the field, but he was keeping it bottled up because he knew that Beamer would lay the hammer down on him.  You could see it in his demeanor until mid-way through his junior season when he decided to try to pretend that he was normal just to make sure he didn't hurt his draft position.  Blame the NFL scouts that were too dumb to notice what was obvious to any true Hokie fan.  We always roll deep in depth in Hokie-land, so if you act up you better get used to the pinewood.  Beamer even sent Corey Moore, who won the National Defensive Player of the Year award as a senior, to the bench in a game when he threw a tantrum about being held by an offensive tackle.

What's really missing from this analysis on Hokie players is that all 3 of these dudes left school early.  Maturity develops with time, and Beamer slowly but surely tries to instill that into his players.  Some players want no part of that side of football, so they just leave early because they see players like T.O. tear up an entire team one year and get a $25 million contract the next year.  There are few if any repercussions for NFL players souring a locker room.  Even Michael Vick gets to keep almost all of his bonus money, even with felony convictions.

My main point here is that the blame rests on the NFL, not on Frank Beamer.  Beamer laid down the hammer when Marcus Vick acted up, by suspending him for a year (that's right an ENTIRE YEAR) with a return conditional upon him never getting into anymore trouble and then throwing him off the time when he misbehaved.  So leave Beamer and the Hokie program out of this!

Lets check into his dogfighting status or lets look into his past deeply. Does he have any correspondence or friendship with that guy in prison.....whats his name Dick, Hick, Kick, Lick, Pick, Sick, Tick, Vick, Wick, ......One of these.....Lets investigate. He's probably got the same likes as that other jerk.

I feel the same way about Ohio State.  Except they cheat and brush with the law while in school as well....

Marcus Vick was expelled from Va Tech.  Michael Vick and Hall both went to Atlanta.  Maybe the Falcons are the problem.

Here are some of the other "bad apples" in the NFL produced by Beamer that you can't remember right now.  Antonio Freeman; Jake Grove; Kevin Jones; John Engleberger; Shane Graham; Darryl Tapp; Pierson Prioleau; Lee Suggs; Ernest Wilford; Andre Davis; Eric Green.

Maybe you should think before you write.
