do you hear that................................... it crickets coming from little johnny's lonely corner of the discussion room......... there it is again............... lol
Yeah, I was hoping lil'Johnny would come back so we could rip him on that prediction, but I doubt he will. I saw his post and was amazed he actually took the time to write something (anything) not bashing the Buckeyes, and look where it got him...
Back on topic - after a couple of days to cool down from the game last Sunday, I think we will lock up a bid with a win today. If we lose today, we will still have a shot depending on how the other bubble teams go (and in that sense, Syracuse, Florida, etc. losing early could help us by knocking them out of the mix for a bid) but without a non-home win vs a Tourney team, we would be sweatting pretty hard Sunday.
Yes, I've been hearing people say that because of all the bubble losses yesterday, the Buckeyes are in regardless. I'm not so sure. While we did finish the regular season with two strong wins, we did have four inexcusable losses right before that.
What do you think of this scenario: Buckeyes manage to beat Sparty today, and put up a good show against Wisky or (chuckle) M*ch*gan in the semis. They get a #12 seed and end up playing #5 Notre Dame in the first round.
I think we could be in regardless after the losses yesterday, but I am no where close to confident with that. Just to be sure they need to win today and at least play Wisky tough tomorrow.
So far it's not looking too good though. Still in the game though and it's early. Hopefully they can stop Neitzel and don't start turning it over all the time.
What's that I hear in Columbus? It's must be all the crying and whining because the Suckeyes LOST to Michigan St. as I knew they would. Enjoy the NIT. And try not to start another couch fire. Oops, that's when you lose in football.
Maybe next season you can actually beat someone on the road, cause you won't this year. I hope they put the Suckeyes with the Bobcats so the Bobcats can show everyone that the Suckeyes are indeed the 6th-7th best team in the state of Ohio.
Now I know why Suckeye fans call it 'THE' Ohio St. University. Because of all the inadequacies of not being the first school with Ohio in its name, and certainly not the best. Have to make themselves feel better that the only sport they can beat OU at is football.
Enjoy the NIT.
Dick Vitale disagrees with you, Foltin. As does the 4-letter network. But you are so much more knowledgeable than they. Tell me, what aisle can I find pimientos in? And try not to start another couch fire.
Don't tell me what to do. I've had one soaking in kerosene for a couple months now, and I'll light it off whenever I feel like it. You may want to stand back, as I understand hairnets and plastic name badges are quite combustible. Have to make themselves feel better that the only sport they can beat OU at is football.
Wow, a rare concession, glad you're admitting this now. I'll keep it in mind later this year when you're bagging on tOSU for a "weak" schedule of which your (proclaimed, not verified, and not sure I believe for a picosecond) alma mater would be a low point. But since it's not a given that tOSU is going to miss out on the NCAA, we may not have an opportunity to test your assertions about the comparative quality of our respective teams. Unless you're going to switch gears and start rooting for Notre Dame, which would be a better bet for you.
Let go of the bitterness...all of the hate will burn you up inside. But I guess it makes sense when OU is always in OSU's shadow and the MAC is the Big 10's very little brother.
