Step one, today's win over Michigan State -- check.
This may be enough on its own, but Ohio State would do well to win at least one game in the tournament to make it even harder for the Committee to overlook them.
GO, BUCKEYES!

I think the win over MSU was enough to get them in given the Bucks SOS and strong finish. Do agree with you that another win over MSU in the BT Tourn would lock it.
Go Bucks!

Beating Michigan State in the Big 10 tourney will get the Bucks in, but I'm not sure they'll win that game. One thing that could hurt Ohio State is if teams like Butler, Kent State, Gonzaga, etc. lose in their conference tournaments. Those teams will get at large bids if they don't win their tourneys, but it would take at large spots away that many thought would be there.

Well, we did it once, so the next one will tell the storey. MSU is a good team and Izzo is a good coach too. I think that the two schools have a nice matchup going whenever they play. MSU and OSU should both be in- no matter the outcome next Friday. Depending on their draw, I can see either one making the Sweet 16 fairly easily.

Given that Ohio State hasn't beaten any good teams away from home, I'm not sure how you can say that they'd make the Sweet 16 fairly easily. They're team last year was loads better than this season's, and they had to get a few breaks to get to the Sweet 16. Michigan State is in no matter what, but I think Ohio State needs to win Friday, and even then they'd be looking at a lower seed.

They compare very well with all of the other bubble teams minus A&M. The biggest factor that could keep them out (if they lose to Michigan state Friday) is if some lesser teams get the automatic bids from the conference tournaments.
Sitting on the bubble right now, one win and definitely in.

Keep your dreams coming. We all know that the Suckeyes are NIT bound. So they got lucky against Purdue and Michigan St. Their ONLY 2 quality wins this season. From an average conference. Just a half-notch above mid-major. Syracuse? Didn't they just lose in the 1st round of their t'ment? NIT bound.
As for thinking they can actually get lucky and beat the Spartans again, let me leave you with one fact. They have NO quality wins away from the Schott. And last I checked, the game on Friday is NOT in Ohio. Which means that as I have said all along, the 4th-5th best team in the state is NIT bound. You can watch Xavier, Kent St. or possiby Akron, Ohio, or Wright St. EARN their spots that the Suckeyes weren't good enough to.
Besides, Gonzaga, S. Alabama, and VCU have popped that bubble already. See, this isn't football. You make the Dance on TALENT, not on NAME. And we all know that's how the Suckeyes made the BCS title game, on NAME, not TALENT.

Yes, lil'Johnny, the 4th-5th best team in Ohio is probably NIT bound, if they're lucky. Since Ohio State is the 2nd-3rd best team in Ohio, I don't really care where OU, Wright State, or Akron goes.
Do you really think there were only 3 slots available to the 20 or so bubble teams? Those slots are all filled now? Wow, that's terrible! But wait a minute, you also said Syracuse is NIT bound now? (Hmm... didn't I say the Cuse-Nova game was a play-in to the Dance? I think I did...) Wouldn't that open up another bubble slot that the Buckeyes could possibly slide into? You are so petty and insecure that your own twisted logic comes back and bites you in the a$$, doesn't it? You are truly a sad little boy, Johnny.
Just as an aside, lil'Johnny - if you make the Dance on TALENT, not NAME, then the Buckeyes must have a history of being pretty darn talented since they've made the Dance more times than every other Ohio school except Cincy combined, wouldn't you say?

Wright St. EARN their spots that
Do you even realize that the Horizon(you know, that little league with 1 real good team and a bunch of OK mid majors) had their tournament, and Wright State was beaten in the QUARTERFINALS? Hell Cleveland State made it farther than them.
Like I've said before, I'll agree that Xavier and Dayton(who you STILL leave off all your lists) are better than the Buckeyes this year, and Kent State would give them a good game. OSU is still the 3rd and at worst 4th best team in the state, and with 1 or 2 more wins will get in. If they lose Friday, then they don't deserve it, it's as simple as that.
