Considering that it was the Michigan fight song, I'd have to say "vile chunks," lol.
I just moved to Wixom from the east side about 1 1/2 years ago.  I'm still learning the area.  As it is zoned right now, my kids will attend (when they finally get that old) Walled Lake Central.
You can't really call it Wall-tucky anymore as the area has really exploded.  There are three high schools now, the Ford plant in Wixom has closed, and the area is filled with upper middle class housing now.  It's not Novi exactly, but it's pretty nice.
The Copper Mug is still open, though I haven't tried it out yet.  I drive by it every day on the way to and from work.  I don't know about the Great Wixom Bar.  To be honest, since I basically live on the eastern-most edge of Wixom, I spend much more time in Walled Lake, Commerce Township, and Novi.

Cool, last time I was there it was 8years ago.
