How many more wins does Syracuse need to feel safe about getting a bid. 2 Games left and then Big East Tourny at the Garden. So they could potentially win 5 more games without getting the automatic bid.

I'll feel pretty good about their chances if they can pick up some combination of 4 more wins. win out and make it to the semi's at MSG, or split down the stretch and get to the Final.
With Boeheim anything is possible.

Totally agree with you NewMexico, I still think we can get an at-large bid. It's going to be tough, but there is still a possibility to make a run.

I would say 4, if we win 3 we could still get in, with all these other bubble teams playing their way out.

Very true Devo, all of the bubble teams keep losing. Conference tournaments are going to be very important this year for bubble teams & #1 seeds.

I absolutely agree, bubble teams are playing very poorly this year, and with 4 wins we should feel pretty good, though id much rather just get the auto bid.

I Seem To Think The Only Way We Make The NCAA Tourney Is To Win The BET Or Atleast Manipulate The Committee With Very Strong Play In The BET! Bubble Teams Need To Keep Losing And We Need To Win Out..SImple As That!!

Possible (not likely) with just 3 wins, but a loss to SH better not happen. It's more important to not lose that game than to beat Marquette for our chances. If we lose to SH, we need 4 more wins, IMHO.

I have waivered. I thought we needed to win BE tournament to get to dance. I now believe we need 21 or more wins to make dance. It will not be easy for this team. I look forward to next year when we argue about seed in tournament instead of just getting in. Pittsburgh was truly a team loss. Both coaching and the players!

BET champ and automatic berth is the only way syracuse will get in...you just cannot have a losing record down the stretch and with the last SU debacle, even I would not put syracuse in the big dance. At least we can get $10 seats for the NIT (if syracuse gets a home date).

Win the BE tourney or $10 NIT seats for 1 game in the NIT, which is sure to be a loss. The only other shot is to make it to the BE Final, get beat down and then maybe the selection committee repays you for the unjust snub SU got last year.

Ok IF we win out, and make the tournament, we need to win 3-4 in the tournament then we might have a shot....a long shot. But even G-Mac couldnt pull it off last year after an amazing run in the tournamnet. Who knows, maybe we will get lucky and the Committee makes up for scrubing us last year.

I think we need to win the BET or we're out. We have a horrible record against good teams and don't underestimate the importance of getting blown out against a horrible South Florida team. My confidence in this team is the lowest it's ever been and I've been a Cuse fan since 1991 so I don't think we have a chance in the BET. We no longer have born winners like G Mac on this team...

Not a question of born winners, question of youth and inexperience. With out senior leadership, our youth will come back to haunt us (like the pitt game) THIS year. Look for the cuse to "bounce" back  and give it their best, but unfortunately, their best will not be enough to get them dancing in 08. Look out for 09 though!!!
