Closest I can come to feeling your pain was when the Colts lost to the Steelers. All the pundits had the Colts as a shoe-in for that SB too. I've seen a bit of "the Pats didn't play their game on offense." Like Plax said, would somebody please give this defense some credit? They had a great game plan and executed it to a tee. I know it doesn't make you feel any better, but at least your guys didn't give the game away, and it wasn't decided by officiating. It was a hard fought game, and your guys just got beat. That's something you can live with after the wound heals.

mg is talking about the charming HAHAHAH I hate NE D-bags thread:
I hope everyone remembers that for every annoying Patriots loud mouth on the boards, there's decent fans like mgpatriots24. Some of them deserve what is going to be dished out tonight. Some don't. Keep that in mind.
I probably will be a little hard on Belichick, mg. But you will never hear "Patriots $uck" from me. That was a great run.

mg - you have absolutely NOTHING to hang your head for. You are a class act and whatever others are saying about Patriot fans you are certainly a quantum leap above them. The Pats had a remarkable season no matter what happened today. I think those people that wanted the Pats to lose were more for EHG losing than they were the Pats as a team.
When push comes to shove, what the hell do you care what anyone says? You know "who you are" and you know that everyone here in the Kitchen supports you completely. I do feel bad for you and "your loss", I know you feel pretty low right now but just remember it isn't that your house burned down or that a close friend or family member died. A team lost a football game, that's all it was. I'll give you the rest of the night to get over it and fully expect you to be here tomorrow - back to your old self. Got It? (shades of The Longest Yard).

Eli got the MVP, and I thought he was more deserving of it this year than Peyton was last year. I don't have any problem with Peyton getting it though. Eli was the one player most responsible for them winning. But if it wasn't for that Giants D, you'd be in a whole lot better mood right now.
Hawk, I think the bash the Patriots crowd is showing about as much sportsmanship as the in your face Pats fans have been showing all year. I can read so much of any of it before I lose interest.
Upon further review, mg, I don't think you should take the heat for the a$$hole bandwagoners who provoked these hate threads. Just throwing raw meat to a feeding frenzy. The thing that really sucks is that the good Pats fans will now be lumped into the same pile because of them.

SpeedDevil - I read a few bash posts and grew bored after 5-6. None of them say anything worthwhile. I started a thread to see if there are any "decent" posters that could discuss the game in a civil, intelligent fashion. I fully expect the thread to quickly fall to page 8 or 9 within an hour. (grinning).
I agree with you and your statement to mg - unfortunately. Best thing he can do is take the night off and come back tomorrow and just continue to be himself. He has the class and manners and "thick skin" to get through all the idiots and their stupid posts.

To change the subject. Tiger woods does it again. Comes from 4 shots behind to win again. Anyone not think he is going to hold every record in golf before he retires? Anyone think Tiger isn't the best golfer to ever play the game?
Not from me.

Art, I'm not a golfer or a golf fan but I don't think you have to be to realize that Tiger's career will prove him to be the best ever.
Heck of a game. Well played, pretty well officiated, and though it was low scoring it was interesting throughout. (I'm a Browns fan, I try not to gloat over anyone else's loss.) An awful lot of so called Pats fans deserve this, mg, you don't. Hang in there.

According to the New York Post the New England Patriots are suffering from premature exhilaration.
The arrogant New England team has already applied for trademarks on "19-0" and "19-0 The Perfect Season." Three days before they beat the San Diego Chargers, and more than two weeks before Super Bowl XLII, the team egotistically filed paperwork with the US Patent and Trademark Office to cash in on sales of T-shirts, caps, posters and all kinds of Pats paraphernalia.
The Post, ever confident that Eli Manning and company will squash the Pats on Sunday, spent $375 for its own trademark application Thursday — on "18-1."
