Do you think he will have a better year in 08' than he had in in 07', or will he regress. I had him on my fantasy team last year and he had some pretty good hot streaks. He seems to be a good hitter with room to improve, but he is getting a late start at  a having a good career. Its still possible though.

Having been a former college baseball player, I can't even begin to imagine how much skill a player has to comeback like he did. To be out of baseball that long, and to not even have played at the Major league level when he did play is remarkable. He came in to camp and made the opening day roster, and managed to put up stats that over a full year would have been the best at his position is just unheard of . I think the guy is amazing, even if he does regress. I have just learned of his overall story since joining the Rangers, and I am pulling for him, and can't wait for his Rangers jersey to arrive. It will be purchased !!!

The Josh Hamilton story is great, and I'm definitely pulling for the guy to become a perennial All-Star.  That being said, there's a bit of a health concern with a guy who hit the DL last year and who's body has been through who-knows-what-kind of abuse.  Even if the mind and will are fully recovered, as Hamilton's comeback proved, it might take some time for the body to get back to the point where he can handle a 162 game schedule.  We'll find out!

I think he can have a great season playing most of his games in a hitter's park.  He was an individual with a lot of character and then made some wrong decisions becoming a drug addict.  A lot of people who knew him well before drugs said if it happened to Josh that it could happen to anybody.  Obviously he has fought long & hard to overcome that adversity & get back to the Bigs, so he's set to have a breakout year.
