With College Football becoming more of a business than sport, who is worth the money and what price would you pay to have a winning program?

And as a fan will you be able to afford to go to a game or be happy watching it on TV?

The way the past couple of years have went the only one on that list that I believe is a bargain is Steve Spurrier.

Urban Meyers and Les Miles are worth it by bringing a NC home and Fulmer is worth his "measly" (I say that compared to the rest)salary considering our expectations. If Fulmer gets us to a BCS game this year or a NC apperance expect his pay bump to go up towards 3 mill.

I dont think the coaches gettin paid well is a big deal. There not like NFL coaches, they have alot more to put up with. Kids out of high school, recruiting all year now days.

I know Pro coaches put in alot of time to but in college your coach is basically your program, not saying there all of it but almost. The recruits come for the coaches, whether it be Head, offensive of the Big D.

Its ok with me, and college football success brings back plenty of money to pay them such as BCS births and ticket sales and plenty of stuff. Just as long as they dont raise the ticket prices but the way gas is and inflation who knows if anyone will be able to afford to go anymore.

I know he has made a helluva living from UT and his pay has represented his progress through the years but still, at 2.05 million for our expectations and for his past success, he is coming cheap

No doubt the biggest steal is Spurrier.  With his background at florida and he is the lowest paid coach on the list.  I did think that he would have had the Cocks up to being a powerhouse by now though.  I think if he can ever get a good QB in there we better watch out.  I can't believe he hasn't yet signed a big top QB prospect.  I know if I was a big QB prospect I would want to play for Spurrier #1.  Maybe the school and academics just suck.
