Boy was it good for Cubs fans see Zambrano not lose his cool after a slow night at the plate.  He is a great hitting pitcher but his emotions have gotten the best of him this season already when he hasn't done that well, and if he can keep himself in check he could have a chane at 20 wins and the cy young award.

For all the cubs haters I did only say a chance. There are a few other NL pitchers that are doing very well and I am taking nothing away from them.

Let's keep it up with a sweep of the Rockies.

Yeah, Zambrano is definitely a leading candidate for the Cy Young.  Webb, Volquez and Linecum are his competition.  Webb got knocked around in his last outing so maybe he is falling. I hope.  Volquez is the unknown. He pitched in TX, but never as well as he has this year. Although it should be based on the best pitcher only I think you have to look at the team's record and position in division.  SF will not make the postseason and neither will Cincy.  So, Zambrano and Webb it is.  Go Big Z.

It was kinda scary though after he walked a run in but regained his composure and got the 3rd out.  Great performance by Carlos Zambrano by only allowing a run allowing the Cubs to come back and win the game!

The thing is, it even felt like he struggled a little and he still held them to one run. This is the year, baby, this is the year.

What a game! Great series. It's nice to see we can win without scoring over 4 runs. Excellent pitching all series!

I'm gonna be at the game tonight so lets beat the Rockies!

Looks like Big Z may finally have gotten the mental aspect of being an ace down to go with that #1 stuff.

I know the Dodgers aren't exactly the beefiest line-up in the NL these days, but holding any team to 1 run when your command isn't there is always an accomplishment.

I know the winds this week favored the pitchers, but there were clearly some high quality starts during this series. Any time you walk away with a 3 game sweep with only 8 runs scored, is a HUGE win.

Now let's see if we can keep the hurlers hot and get the bats going as well!
