I'm thinking that I wish the team would have taken the first rounder from the Redskins and booted Chad out of Cincinnati.
With the tough schedule they have next season, I'm figuring 9-7. They'll have a solid year, but they're playing a lot of really solid teams, especially on the road. I have a feeling that 9-7 won't be enough to win the division, but they could be in decent shape for a wild card. I feel badly for Marvin that they have to play the NFC East and AFC South in what could be his make or break year.
I have a good feeling about the defense after what i've been hearing. It sounds like they're really shaking things up and starting at the ground floor. I just hope rudi and perry can stay healthy this year. But if cincy's offensive line can stay healthy i believe that they can make it to 9-7 or even 10-6. Mind you that 9-7 just might win the division this year with the schedules.<style id="jajah" type="text/css"> span.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; }</style>
Hey Bengals fans sorry to butt in but I'm a Chiefs fan not a bengals fan. I want to know if you would trade chad to kc for a second round pick next year. I think herm can fix your problem chield. see ya nite.
I agree with you fut. I think 9-7 wins the AFC North this year. Every team faces a brutal schedule. The Bengals absolutely have to beat the teams they should beat (Jets, Chiefs, Texans), then they need to go 4-2 in the division (sweep Ravens and split with Pittsburgh and Cleveland), and then steal 2-3 home games they're expected to lose (Eagles, Redskins, Titans). That's a lot to ask. I love the Bengals, but honestly, i expect them to go 8-8 or 7-9. I'm not trying to be pessimistic...the schedule is just too much for the young defense to overcome.
Yeah huberh3, i'm with you on that, but we all know that alot WILL change throughout the season. Some teams that are SUPPOSED to dominate go through slumps, and some that are SUPPOSED to take beatings come to play. I feel like this defense is just chompin at the bit though, and that feels real good to me. But its def an uphill battle.
And Chiefs fan, put the kool aid down, cause your just wastin your time.<style id="jajah" type="text/css"> span.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; }</style>
huber, good synopsis on what they need to do against whom. However, I don't know that the Texans should be considered a team that they should beat. Houston certainly isn't New England, but I think that they're a much improved team that will give opponents fits this year. Jets and Chiefs should be wins, and I'm not so much worried about the Redskins. The Cowboys and Jaguars scare the hell out me though. I think that they could truly go 5-1 in the division, with the one loss being at Pittsburgh. Not trying to put them down because they're the in-state rival, but the Bengals were able to put some points on the board against Cleveland, and should have had two wins in that series if the defense knew how to tackle. I'm not feeling the Cinderella vibe from the Browns this season. Of course, what do I know? It's the out of division that has me worried.
I read yesterday that Andre Caldwell had a great practice against Leon Hall, burning him early for a deep ball.
