Who do you think are the MVP players (one for each team) for both teams and why?

Penguins-Malkin:  He kept the team scoring and winning when Crosby went out and he has become more physical and aggresive as the Playoffs have progressed.

Penguins (close second)-Fleury:  has shown poise and skill well beyond his experience thus far.

Detroit-Zetterberg:  Provides incredible two-way play with scoring in the mold of Fedorov.

Detroit (close second)-Face-off coach.  My god what is this coach teaching these centers they are amazing.

I think I just might have to nominate Hossa here, he's shown that he is insane on both sides of the puck and he has been very solid in the clutch. Plus I like his hair.

The winning goalie will be the Conn Smythe recipient.  Considering both teams have multiple players with 20 or so points, its the goaltenders who are going to get the nod with their ridiculous save percentages and GAA

if this series is as advertised, the  goalies will be the last 2 considered for mvp.

Detroit-Datsyuk:  The way he handles the puck with his stick is unbelievable.  He can do things controlling the puck that I have never seen anyone else do.  In tight quarters with little room to move, he handles the puck like it's on a yo-yo.

Plus, he scores goals at big times, and is even better at setting up his teammates.  Not to mention, he's good defensively, and is even getting more physical...can also take a physical hit.

I think he'll come up big in this series and get the MVP, as well as a GWG or 2.

Thoughts?

Datsyuk may have a good series, but the MVP come from the winning team so: Crosby, Malkin, Hossa or Fleury.  Don't really matter to me.

Unless Malkin , Crosby , Hossa for the Penguins or Zetterberg or Datsyuk have a series that is extraordinary one of the goalies either Fleury or Osgood will be the MVP from the winning team.

I think that the goalies are any easy pick and will probably be in contention all the way to the end.  The big guns from both teams will get there points, however the goalie that stands on his head to win the series in Game 6 will be the Conn Smythe winner.  So that means that Fleury pitching the shoutout in Game 6 AT HOME will bring home Stanley Cup #3 for Pittburgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the Pens - Fleury & only because if the Pens have a chance it will be because the goalie will have to stand up & play over his head. Fleury has been great all post-season but this isnt an Eastern team & this is the best of them all East or West. The Pens forwards have not played forwards like Detroits. it will be into game 3 before they figure out its not so much them not skating well as much as its the Wings forwards not letting them skate. & they'll find thats true of all 4 Wing lines. only way the Pens win is in 2-1 games. they wont get much over 20 shots a night & Fleury will see 35 to 40 every game.

For Detroit - Datysuk or Zetterberg, both hi scoring & great defense. the one with the most points gets it. probably Zetterberg because his will be goals with Datysuk's will be assists
