This is a pivotal offseason for fourth-year FS Josh Bullocks, who has not fully delivered on the promise he showed as a rookie. Bullocks (6-1, 207 pounds) is a natural athlete with the right kind of speed and size for the position. He can cover a lot of ground quickly, especially when moving sideline to sideline, and he is a decent tackler, but he is inconsistant in pass coverage. An improved pass rush and better overall play by the front seven would help Bullocks. He needs to hold off Kevin Kaesviharn to keep the starting job.

Josh Bullocks caught a lot of flack from fans last season but i can honeslty say i never felt like giving up on him because he showed flashes of his talent. I do belives he would be a better player if he wouldnt have to consantly keep his eyes on the running back so much due to the poor run defense and then not having solid corners to cover recievers better . I think Kaesviharn is a good person to have on special teams and provide a little bit of advice in how to be around the ball more.

With a new secondary coach maybe he will get his act together.

Josh Bullocks has all the tools to be a good NFL FS, something hasn't quite clicked yet with his pass coverage skills.  Hopefully this new secondary coach can help him get his act together.

It seemed like Josh Bullocks goes for play-action fakes way too much, resulting in a lot of the long passes completed against us the last few years. It may have been a result of poor play by the front seven against the run, but I thought stopping the run was more the responsibility of the strong safety ( Roman Harper ) and Bullocks responsibility was over the top to prevent the long passes. I think this will be a make or break year for him as well as the rest of the secondary.
