Alot of you are seeming to forget that we started worse than we are now. It's way too early to predict anything. Also, there are alot of positives for the Yankees
1. A-Rod returns on Tuesday and Posada returns in early June
2. The offense will get going and the pitching has been solid
3. No one is running away with the AL East or Wildcard
4. You can expect a deal to be made by the Yankees to help improve the team if the struggling continues
You can make the argument that the Yankees are rebuilding, but I would have to disagree. I think that they are just in a slump and will break out of it very soon.

Oh and also, Giambi and Cano's bats are coming around, so, that might be a positive also

If you're panicing, your naieve(sp) !!! As I've said before, you can't compare this season to our other slow starts. The league is sooooo much better and deeper now, making it that much harder to put a long run togethere like we've been used to in years past! You know, at what point is it a broken freeking record with the slow starts?? I'm not as upset about the actual losses as I am about the style in which we're playing. It's sloppy and lacks the basic common sense or fundamentals that I would hope to see from this team. The whole attitude and demeanor is awful on this team right now! Borderline tough to watch!!

I just wanted to take a look at the Yankee boards to see what was going on, so I thought I might put in my 2 cents.
The Yankees don't rebuild.... They are the power house of baseball....
Teams get hot and teams get cold, and there are two teams in the East playing really well that won't be there at seasons end (Rays and O's).
The Yankees started off like this last season and what happened??? They made the playoffs.
A-rod coming back is going to add more run production to protect the young pitchers.
You know it's funny.. I think the Yankee fans are the single group of fans that will just hate there team or players when they are losing and then love them while they are winning (I remember A-rod getting trashed by the Yankee fans before last season).
Bottomline is this.... When October comes around the Yankees are the one team that everyone knows will be in the playoffs....
You know I am an Angels fan and I personally can't wait to see what the Yankees do in this next off season. With Giambi coming off the books I see the Yankees going after Teixeira (agent is Boras and we all know he gets top dollar for players) to play first base and then C.C. to pitch. Like I said earlier, the Yankees don't rebuild. They are the power house of baseball and to be the best, you must beat the best that's why you either love the Yankees or hate them.
Go Luck!!!

You should panic, because one of these years the Skankees will actually suck and not be able to buy their way into the playoffs. I think this is the year

Oh and also, Giambi and Cano's bats are coming around, so, that might be a positive also
I can't see Giambi coming around with the way he consistently hits into the shift. He's been hitting the ball hard all season long, but if it doesn't sail over the fence then it's directly at 1 of the 8 fielders positioned on the right side. We can't have a guy hitting .193 in the 5th spot in our lineup. I can't forsee anything getting better until he learns how to hit to the left side.
Regarding Cano, once his bat comes around, he'll be fine. He may be struggling big time, but once he starts hitting he won't have the Giambi problem. While Giambi can't hit the ball much harder, and is still struggling awfully, Cano hasn't been getting good at bats until this month. Now that he's beginning to hit, he'll start putting up big games and hopefully help carry this offense.
I'm not as upset about the actual losses as I am about the style in which we're playing. It's sloppy and lacks the basic common sense or fundamentals that I would hope to see from this team. The whole attitude and demeanor is awful on this team right now! Borderline tough to watch!!
I couldn't agree more. If the team is fighting but suffering tough losses, is one thing. The problem is that they just don't seem to be giving all they're capable of, and that's what makes it all the more painful to endure.

Still don't panic..although this losing is getting very annoying. Yankees had no pitching and no hitting again tonight..when is this going to end?
Also, all day tomorrow i'm going to hear it. Ah well, guess thats life.

It's always nice to see a different teams fan that makes sense, and is realistic. Good to hear fron you Angels22. I obviously agree with you. I know that it's not a guarantee that the Yankees will make the playoffs, but for people to panic in May and count them out is absurd.

Year, you're right YankeeFanJZB . The Skanks looked great last night losing 11-2 on national TV with their ace on the mound. I'm just saying that they are long overdue for missing the playoffs. Those first round losses just aren't doing it for me anymore. Here's hoping that the last ever Skankee Stadium | |
