Daisuke Matsuzaka is a perfect 7-0 with a 2.15 ERA.
Today he pitched 6.2 innings, with 0 ER, and 6 K's. Only 2 BB too.
Good for him...Hope he can keep it going!

And like I've said...just because he's Japanese doesn't mean hes automatically going to suck like the other 3. Everyone said "Oh, Japanese pitchers don't do well after their first year." To me this is stupid. Every person is different, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean they won't succeed in the MLB
Dice K certainly has the stuff to be great!
like ive told every dice-k ney-sayer since his first start vs KC last year...

Where are all the Dice K haters from last year and before this one? What do you have to say about this great start.
I'm sure they'll find some way to downplay it.

the original workout warrior.
a long time ago, when football scouts were enamored with size, strength, and reps more than true skill. plus, football isnt global or globally scouted like baseball, or with as much scrutiny. there are thousands more aspiring pro baseball players in cuba, taiwan, japan, etc than there are in north america dreaming of the gridiron.
Well done Rock or should I call you NESG?
Good to see your still on the boards. Look forward to football season and all your posts, take care in the mean time.

he threw 10 straight strikes, granted Fielder sent one off the base of the cf wall and another man reached on a hit but he got the next 3 hitters and stranded them for what was the big turnaround in this game
WHEN he throws strikes he's very tough, when he decides ti get funky , he gets himself in jams and the bullpen comes in soon
he's showing up the nay sayers right now!!!!!!!!!

He's pretty darn hard to hit. Most of the trouble he gets in comes from walks. The only thing with this year is, when he puts the guys on from walks, he gets out of the inning, because he's not giving up the hit after.

Where's PanthersPhan, who said just last week that he's nothing more than a 5 inning pitcher? He's pitched an average of 6.1-6.2 innings per game. Could be better, but isn't that darn bad.

NigB' I have an off topic question
Did you see the Lugo bunt where he was called out? If so, what is the rule? I thought when a hitter is OUT OF the batters box and the ball hits him he is out? Is it if the ball is in fair territory and hits the batter no matter if he;'s in the batters box or not, or what?

Buck...I believe its if the ball is in fair territory and it hits him, no matter where is is, he's out.

I have been known to be wrong before though. I believe the ump made the right call in this one though.
