when someone with the baseball knowledge of Tim McCarver agrees with me.  The #5 hitter in your lineup is not supposed to bunt on a regular basis - that's the leadoff hitter's job - to get on any way possible.  The #5 hitter is supposed to DRIVE the ball and drive in the runs.

All apologies are accepted in advance.

Aplogize, WTF, I guess you carry a bit of arrogance with you asking for apologies from brewer fans for this.  I'm a Brewer fan and I never said Hart should be bunting in the 5 hole.  Why the hell are you asking for apologies.

The message wasn't necessarily meant for you, Surgeon2. It was directed at a few others that don't think Hart has been part of the problem(so I put it out there to all rather than do a private message to each). I'm a Brewers fan too - just that I have a little better handle on what some of this team's problems are - and those problems don't include the manager. Hart HAD to be bunting on his own with 2 strikes, a RISP, and nobody out in the 2nd inning of a ballgame - which is a STUPID play by a #5 hitter. But I'm sure someone will tell me differently.

there was only 1 strike on Hart when he bunted, no way of knowing if it was on his own or instructed by the coach.  I might need to back away from watching brewer games, they are starting to make me feisty.  ok Cameron is up with bases loaded, hopefully he makes me eat my words from another thread I just started about how badly he sucks and is a waste of money.

there was only 1 strike on Hart when he buntedNo, there were 2 strikes on him - if the ball was foul, he would've been out.

kolodziej- There was only 1 strike- it would have simply been strike 2.  Not crazy about the play, but it really wasn't terrible considering he advanced the runner and was out by an eyelash.

I agree 100%, Ned Yost  had his chance as manager. I have no idea what he has against Tony Gwynn Jr. either. He makes bad in game decisions, and puts his players in bad situations. Its Ted Simmons turn, isn't that why he was brought on board anyway?

I don't care who you put in there as manager - when guys don't produce you're going to lose.  Hardy had 2 chances to drive in a run today by making a productive out - that's all he had to
