Man tough one to take there. Z on the hill, Soriano looking like he didn't get the memo that the game started and he's still taking bp out there , and Marmol in late in the game. Had all the makings of a nice W for the Cubs. That play at the plate turned out to be huge, hopefully Geo keeps that in the back of his mind next time there's a play like that. Our 3-6 in the lineup combined for 1-15.

Although they weren't able to pull it out, it was good to see them right in it. Z didn't have his best stuff, and Marmol made a mistake with a pitch. Soriano was able to carry this team today, and Lee gave the last pitch of the game a ride. You can't win em all and we go for the series win tomorrow. 8-2 homestand has a nice ring to it!

These sort of games happen, Z can't be lights out every day, Marmol can may a bad pitch, and Lee and Ramirez can't always rake...

of course. I was just saying that with Z, d lee, ramirez, and marmol having "off" days, to only lose the game by 1 was a good sign.

And we still have the 2nd best record in baseball, I'm not worried about today's loss at all.

Yeah, what a strange game today. I too thought that we would get the "W" with Z on the hill. Since this was strange I suppose Jason Marquis will go 7 strong tommorrow and he and Z will play role reversal for a start. We need ARAM to start raking and, for that matter, D-Lee needs to get it going. Lets head to Houston on a good note. Go Cubs!!

Isn't there some way we can blame Jason Marquis for this loss?
